Recently, Yuyang District of Yulin City, Shaanxi Province held the centralized commencement activity for the first batch of key construction projects in 2024. A total of 13 key projects were launched in a centralized manner, with a total investment of 2.46 billion yuan, sounding the "assembly call" for vigorous and rapid project construction and issuing the "mobilization order" for transformation, upgrading and high-quality development. This will play a strong role in promoting the district's sprint toward the tasks of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and ensuring a "good start" for the year's work.

　　2024 is the sprint year for achieving the goals of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and also a crucial year for the construction of a modern new Yuyang to move from comprehensive deployment to in-depth advancement. Following the working approach of "planning early, planning in detail, planning deeply and planning practically," Yuyang District plans to arrange 282 key construction projects with a total investment of 152.69 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 37.2 billion yuan. This first batch of 13 key projects launched in a centralized manner includes the comprehensive utilization of mine drainage water in the southern mountainous area, the comprehensive treatment of the coal mining subsidence area of Jinjitan Coal Mine, and the clean energy centralized heating project in the agricultural industrial park, with a total investment of 2.46 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 1.03 billion yuan. They cover multiple fields such as social livelihood, cultural tourism and ecological improvement, highlighting both investment-driven and infrastructure-first approaches while also reflecting industrial support and livelihood improvement. The smooth commencement of these projects will inject new vitality and vigor into the high-quality economic and social development of the whole district and provide strong support for achieving the annual target tasks.

　　"The three key construction projects undertaken by the Yuyang District Water Resources Bureau in the first quarter of 2024 are the comprehensive utilization project of mine drainage water in the southern mountainous area, the water diversion project of the Bulang River Military Culture Park Scenic Area, and the comprehensive treatment project of the Yuxi River in Yuyang District. After the projects are completed, the winter discharge of mine drainage water can be fully utilized and transported and stored in the mountainous watersheds of southern townships, solving the problem of drought and water shortage in 45,000 mu of farmland in the region, improving the production and living conditions of more than 15,000 people in 11 administrative villages of 5 local townships, reducing the extraction of groundwater resources, ensuring the balance of groundwater recharge and discharge and stable water levels, promoting the sustainable development of regional ecological environment governance, and achieving water ecological improvement, intensive water resources, water environment improvement and water security guarantee for the section of the Yuxi River from Sanchawan to the Wuding River. We will make every effort to create a waterfront demonstration space along the entire Yuxi River with 'clear water, green banks, beautiful scenery and harmonious people,' providing water conservancy support for the high-quality development of Yuyang District," said Li Rong, Party Secretary and Director of the Yuyang District Water Resources Bureau.

　　"The two projects our company started construction on today are the ecological restoration of the coal mining subsidence area of Yushuwan Coal Mine and the rainwater collection pond in the production area of Yushuwan Coal Mine. Among them, the estimated investment of the subsidence area ecological restoration project is 155 million yuan, and the main construction content is the restoration and treatment of the goaf and the construction of a 10,000-head Hu sheep breeding farm; the estimated investment of the rainwater collection pond project is 35 million yuan, and the main construction content is a rainwater collection and reuse project with a capacity of 15,000 cubic meters. After the projects are completed, they will benefit about 6,700 villagers in 6 natural villages of 3 townships in Yuyang District, namely Jinjitan Township, Daheta Township and Mahuangliang Township, greatly improve the ecological environment of surrounding villages and towns, expand channels for farmers to increase income through project construction, and lay a good foundation for the sustainable development of agriculture in surrounding villages and towns.

　　It is understood that in 2023, Yuyang District solidly carried out the "High-quality Project Promotion Year" activity, going all out to promote transformation, develop industries and benefit the people. The annual gross regional product reached 185.3 billion yuan, 249 key construction projects were started or resumed, and fixed asset investment reached 43.5 billion yuan. Its comprehensive strength ranked 87th among the top 100 high-quality development districts in the country.
