During the Spring Festival, walking into the construction site of the refining and chemical integration transformation and upgrading project of PetroChina Guangxi Petrochemical Company in the Qinzhou Port Area of the Guangxi Pilot Free Trade Zone, one could see that the "heat" and "speed" of the construction site had not diminished at all: tower cranes rose high, welding sparks flew, engineering vehicles shuttled back and forth, and frontline builders each performed their duties, going all out to accelerate project construction and strive for a "good start."

"Before the Spring Festival, the project completed the hoisting operation of the radiation section of the first F1101 modular cracking furnace, the core equipment cracking furnace of the 1.2 million tons/year ethylene plant," introduced Qi Shanbin, an engineer on the project. The radiation section of the cracking furnace hoisted this time is 35 meters long, 4.7 meters wide, 18 meters high, and weighs 210 tons. It is the ** hoisting of the ethylene plant and also a milestone project of the project.

"During the Spring Festival, we arranged for 3,500 people to work on the project site and formulated a Spring Festival construction incentive mechanism to ensure that project progress is advanced link by link," introduced Zhang Yongjian, Party branch secretary of the project engineering management department. This Spring Festival falls in a critical period of project construction. To ensure construction progress, all units are currently pressing ahead with various tasks such as roads, underground pipelines, and equipment ordering.

Zhang Yongjian introduced that in order to let the workers who stayed at their posts feel the warmth and care of home, all participating units carefully prepared Year of the Dragon consolation gift packages and also organized activities such as distributing auspicious characters, hanging Spring Festival couplets, and pasting window decorations, delivering warmth to the hearts of frontline builders. At the same time, pre-holiday safety inspections of the project were implemented to create a warm and comfortable environment for frontline workers.

According to reports, the refining and chemical integration transformation and upgrading project of PetroChina Guangxi Petrochemical is a major project in the national petrochemical industry planning and layout, and also a strategic project of PetroChina to promote the structural adjustment of "reducing oil and increasing chemicals." The project will build 14 new chemical units and 2 refining units and is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in 2025. After commissioning, it is expected to generate an annual output value of 30 billion yuan and tax revenue of 3 billion yuan.
