On January 23, Henan Province held an on-site advancement meeting for major transportation projects themed "Work Hard in the First Quarter, Strive for a Good Start," proposing that major transportation projects in the first quarter of this year complete more than 26% of the annual investment target. Centering on the annual tasks, all ongoing transportation projects in Henan will further refine construction schedule milestones, strengthen preparation of labor and materials before the Spring Festival, and rapidly achieve full production and accelerate the construction boom after the holiday.

This year, 11 expressway projects totaling 643 kilometers, including the Luoshan to the Henan-Hubei provincial border section of the Anyang-Luoshan Expressway, are planned to be completed and opened to traffic; a batch of major transportation projects, including three Yellow River bridges on Provincial Road 304, National Highway 230, and National Highway 240, as well as the Zhengzhou-Kaifeng intercity railway extension line, are planned to be opened for operation. Song Huadong, deputy director of the Henan Provincial Department of Transportation, said that this year the province has a large number of projects opening to traffic and a long mileage, and the transportation system will continue to carry forward the spirit of the "transportation iron army" and go all out to win the battle of opening projects to traffic.

As a pilot application of smart highways under the "13445 Project" for expressways, the Zhengzhou-Luoyang Expressway is under accelerated construction. By applying the "four new" technologies, the project has built high-standard, high-quality precast beam yards, introduced intelligent digital equipment such as intelligent roughening robots, intelligent grouting robots, and intelligent tensioning robots, and improved construction techniques such as tensioning work platforms and self-locking tool anchors, greatly enhancing construction quality and efficiency.

"We have completed the Gantt chart of the project's overall construction plan, and plan to complete investment of 460 million yuan in the first quarter," Ming Yang, manager of the Engineering Technology Department of Henan Jiaotou Zhongyuan Expressway Zhengluo Construction Co., Ltd., told reporters. The project owner will take the opportunity of carrying out the activity of "Seize the Start, Break Through Difficulties, Work Hard in the First Quarter, Strive for a Good Start" to establish Party member commando teams, refine key objectives and tasks, and efficiently advance project construction on the basis of ensuring quality.
