We must continuously temper the "special skill" of the real economy, advance new industrialization with greater efforts, focus on regional scientific and technological innovation, the construction of major scientific and technological innovation platforms, and enterprise innovation investment, actively seize new tracks in future industries, cultivate more leading industries such as construction machinery and intelligent equipment manufacturing, better leverage the exemplary and driving role of leading enterprises such as XCMG, strive to make traditional industries radiate vitality in "intelligent transformation, digital transformation and network connectivity," and effectively consolidate the industrial foundation for high-quality development.

This year, the report proposes to "deeply advance high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-strengthening, vigorously advance new industrialization, and continuously strengthen advanced manufacturing clusters." In May last year, Xin Changxing, Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, encouraged XCMG Group to "continue to climb the peak, break through more key core technologies, forge more great national heavy equipment, and play a leading and supporting role in building a *** construction machinery industrial cluster and building a strong manufacturing province." In 2023, XCMG firmly implemented the innovation-driven development strategy, continuously increased R&D investment, continuously broke through key core technologies, and successfully completed the first lift of the world's largest tonnage wheeled crane. A batch of great national heavy equipment and high-end core components, such as the world's largest rotary drilling rig and the 35-cubic-meter ultra-large open-pit electric shovel, stood tall and upright, supporting the "hard backbone" of Chinese manufacturing. The market share of 16 main machines ranked first in the country, representing Chinese construction machinery firmly in the global ** camp, and for five consecutive years the domestic industry ** has been shortlisted in the "World Brand 500."
