The company is mainly engaged in the design, manufacture, sales, and leasing of fully hydraulic crawler-type and walking-type pile driving frames, diaphragm wall construction machinery, diesel pile hammers, electric-driven vibratory pile hammers, hydraulic pile hammers, high-mast drilling rigs, etc. It mainly provides machinery, equipment, and services for the construction of large and extra-large projects such as expressways, high-rise buildings, bridges, subways, airports, wharves, and power stations.

Since 2003, the company has independently developed the D128, D138, D160, D180, D220, and D260 extra-large-tonnage tubular diesel pile hammers, which have completely independent intellectual property rights and hold 6 patents. They are currently the largest pile driving machinery and equipment in the world and in China, reaching the international advanced level, and have played a huge role in national key projects such as the Donghai Bridge and the Hangzhou Bay Bridge.

As early as the 1960s, the company had already designed and developed the first generation of electric-driven vibratory pile hammers. The newly developed DZJ500S variable-torque variable-frequency electric-driven vibratory hammer and DZ500S variable-frequency electric-driven vibratory hammer have the advantages of strong penetration, good pile sinking performance, and wide applicability. They are suitable for the pile sinking construction of sand compaction piles for ground improvement and large steel pipe piles, and have performed impressively in projects such as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the Hong Kong artificial island, gaining high recognition from users.

Since 2003, on the basis of learning from and drawing on advanced foreign technologies, Shanghai Engineering Machinery Plant Co., Ltd. has carried out independent innovation and secondary development, successively developing the ZLD110/65-3-M2 and ZLD180/85-3-M2 series standard three-axis diaphragm wall drilling rigs. Later, in order to cope with deep foundation pit construction under relatively complex geological conditions, it specially developed the ZLD180/85-3-M2-S super-strong series three-axis diaphragm wall drilling rigs as well as the ZLD110/65-3-M2-CS, ZLD180/85-3-M2-CS, and ZLD220/85-3-M2-CS super series three-axis diaphragm wall drilling rigs. They have now been widely involved in many diaphragm wall construction projects such as seepage prevention and water cutoff for ultra-deep foundation pits and support for ultra-deep foundation pits. Nearly 300 sets of equipment have been used in key projects across the country, making the company one of the enterprises with the most complete series of SMW construction method equipment, the strongest equipment adaptability to complex strata, and the richest professional experience in design, production, and manufacturing.
