The reporter learned from the Liaoning Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce on the 23rd that the monitoring of cement products in the circulation sector of Liaoning Province has been completed. The monitoring results show that cement products in the circulation market have problems such as substandard weight and strength and nonconforming markings, and consumers should be especially vigilant when purchasing.

Recently, the Liaoning Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce carried out monitoring of cement products in the circulation sector, conducting product quality monitoring of cement products in six areas including Fushun and Jinzhou in the province. Products from twelve enterprises, including Huludao Nanpiao Longshan Cement Plant, Fushun Shunda Cement Plant, and Yatai Group Tieling Cement Co., Ltd., were found to have nonconforming problems during spot checks.

According to a responsible person from the Liaoning Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce, this monitoring reflected three potential hidden risks in the cement market. First, cement weight is substandard. In the monitoring, the minimum net content per bag and the total mass of many products were nonconforming. Second, the markings of many products were nonconforming and could not clearly indicate the product's attributes and quality, depriving consumers of their right to know. Third, the cement strength of many products was substandard. This will directly affect the strength of concrete and mortar, and in serious cases may cause consumers to suffer personal and property losses.

In response to the above problems, the Liaoning Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce reminds consumers that when purchasing cement products, they should first choose products from enterprises certified under ISO9000 or well-known brand products; when purchasing, they should also check the packaging markings and try to buy products with complete specifications, grades, batch numbers and other markings to ensure product quality. Second, consumers should ask dealers for the factory inspection report on product quality to ensure that the products comply with relevant national standards. Finally, when purchasing in large quantities, consumers must first conduct retesting and ensure that the retest is qualified before putting the products into use.
