1. Reestablish the centerline survey: reestablish the road design centerline, re-survey each point on the road centerline, and proceed to construction surveying after confirming there are no errors.

　　2. Set out side stakes: measure the road width from the road centerline, and drive wooden (side) stakes at 5 m, 10 m, or 15 m intervals at 0.5—1.0 m outside the side lines on both sides of the road.

　　3. Measure elevations: measure the road center elevation and mark it on the side stakes (i.e., the “red mark”) for construction use.
