Key technical points and precautions for pile sinking construction:

  (1) Lifting shall be smooth to prevent collisions.

  (2) Before pile driving, the water depth and underwater topography of the pile sinking area shall be measured.

  (3) When lifting piles, the balance of the pile barge shall be considered, and the lifting sequence shall be symmetrical.

  (4) During the lowering of batter piles, the pile frame should be kept consistent with the design inclination of the pile. During hammer-driven pile sinking, the pile hammer and pile body should be kept on the same axis to avoid eccentric hammering.

  (5) When waves from vessel navigation affect the stability of the pile driving vessel, hammering should be suspended.

  (6) Prevent the back plate from jamming the pile; once found, adjust the pile frame promptly.

  (7) During pile sinking, the vessel shall not be moved to correct the pile position.

  (8) When the pile driving vessel moves forward and backward, attention shall be paid to the position of anchor cables to prevent cables from entangling the piles. If the pile top is submerged, weld steel pipes on each row of frames and install solar warning lights to prevent passing vessels from colliding with the piles.

  (9) For batter piles, the influence of self-weight and tidal current shall also be considered, and a certain advance allowance shall be taken based on actual construction experience so that the pile position after sinking meets the design requirements.

  (10) After the pile driving vessel has installed a certain number of piles, a technical summary meeting shall be held to summarize experience, identify shortcomings, formulate measures, and standardize construction.

  (11) During pile transport and driving, collision with PHC piles and damage to protective coatings are strictly prohibited.

  (12) Pile sinking construction records shall be carefully kept.

  (13) The vent and drainage holes cut at the pile top to eliminate water hammer stress during pile driving must be reliably sealed with high-performance cement mortar after pile sinking is completed.

The above content is compiled based on problems encountered by trainees in actual work for reference. If you have any questions, please communicate and correct them promptly.
