At the construction site of the Tuanfeng Luohuozhou Bridge, workers are now making preparations in the rain for the pouring of the bridge's first main bridge pile. Although a light autumn rain is falling, it has not dampened the workers' enthusiasm for construction. The roar of machinery and the shouts of workers echo one another, forming a marching song of striving progress. In order to concentrate efforts on the pouring of the first pile foundation of the bridge pier, the construction team has worked overtime in recent days and completed the full laying of the trestle bridge the night before. Guo Jianxin, deputy general manager of Xinjiang Beixin Road & Bridge Group Co., Ltd.: “After months of effort, the trestle bridge, with a total of 39 spans and 468 meters, is about to open to traffic. Today, after nearly 40 days of effort, the pile foundation of more than 100 meters has reached the planned pouring stage and will be poured shortly.”

To complete the pile foundation pouring with both quality and quantity guaranteed and to ensure construction safety, the project command headquarters planned ahead and made careful preparations, conducting a scientific demonstration of the entire construction process to ensure that the pile foundation pouring proceeds smoothly. Jiang Yi: “It is now 5:30 p.m., and the first bridge pile has officially begun pouring, marking the official start of the main construction of the Tuanfeng Luohuozhou Bridge.” Deng Licheng, project manager of Xinjiang Beixin Road & Bridge Group Co., Ltd.: “From the platform down, this pile is 103 meters long in total, and from the riverbed down it is 87 meters. The concrete is poured from the bottom upward. If there is an interruption, inclusions will form in the middle of the concrete, and there is a possibility of a broken pile. Therefore, the pouring process must be continuous and uninterrupted, and it will take about ten hours.”

It is understood that the main pier foundation of the Luohuozhou Bridge uses 11 underwater C30 bored cast-in-place piles with a diameter of 2 meters and a pile length of 87 meters. All are in-water piles, constructed using the “trestle bridge + drilling platform” method. This pouring is the first deep-water pile foundation for the bridge's main pier, with a pile length of 87 meters, a pile diameter of 2 meters, and a hole depth of 103.6 meters. It adopts the domestically advanced power-head engineering drilling rig and the air-lift reverse circulation construction technique for drilling and hole formation. The pile foundation reinforcement cage weighs 34 tons. Since the official drilling of the main pier pile foundation began, the project department's technical personnel have pooled their wisdom and efforts, organized technical research, and overcome difficulties such as the complex geology of the Yangtze River, the large engineering workload, high construction difficulty, harsh climatic conditions, and high technical requirements. They have carried out scientific construction and arranged for workers to operate continuously around the clock, ensuring high-quality and efficient progress of the bridge construction.
