This year, Case Construction Equipment introduced a brand-new model between the CX210B and CX240B: the CX220B. Officially on sale since August 1, its arrival makes Case's product line more complete and more competitive. Case's third-generation thinking hydraulic excavators are equipped with the latest remote intelligent control system——the Skyhawk system, allowing users to monitor the machine's operating status anytime, anywhere. For its latest excavator series, Case has also launched a 24-month/5,000-hour protection plan, providing users with more comprehensive after-sales service.

The Case CX220B is positioned for earthmoving and auxiliary mining operations, and is particularly suited to soft ground. Compared with products of the same class in the industry, it offers clear advantages: a reinforced heavy-duty arm that can handle harsher working conditions; new hydraulic cylinders for smoother oil supply; a new bucket for higher productivity; an extended undercarriage for better stability; and higher fuel efficiency for greater fuel savings.

An engine with more power and lower fuel consumption

The Case CX220B adopts the latest electronic control and common-rail fuel injection technology, reducing vibration and noise. Its output power is 8-14% higher than industry peers, and its fuel efficiency is more than 20% higher than comparable products.

To meet greater power demands, the Case CX220B boosts output through an air-to-air intercooled turbocharging system, and its cylinders use a 4-valve structure.

A fully intelligent hydraulic system that thinks like a human

Case's PCSTM precision hydraulic control system automatically adjusts the power and speed of the working equipment by controlling compound hydraulic changes, thereby achieving excellent fuel efficiency.

Case's "intelligent control system" manages power output through an onboard computer and, by perfectly controlling and managing the output power of the engine and hydraulic pumps, reaches a level of "thinking," enabling the whole machine to achieve genuine high efficiency and energy savings.

Boom and arm further improved and strengthened for specific needs

A reinforced working mechanism that has undergone durability treatment and is suitable for heavy-duty operations comes as standard. The heavy-duty boom has been further reinforced to withstand the harsh conditions of large-scale heavy construction over the long term. The boom root uses high-strength forged components, and the front ends of the boom and arm each use integrally cast end pieces, reducing poor structural stress distribution caused by high-strength loads; this lowers the possibility of cracking in the working equipment and extends the service life of the working mechanism. New resin shims are used at the hinge points at both ends of the boom to reduce free play at the joints and lower wear and noise. All working mechanisms use high-tensile-strength quality plates, thickened to the industry's highest standard, further increasing structural strength.

Rob, Product Manager in Case Construction Equipment's Marketing Department, said: "This model was developed by combining market demand with technological innovation, and we are very confident about how it will be received once it enters the market!"
