As a folk saying goes, "It's so cold on the seventh and eighth days of the twelfth lunar month that your chin freezes off," but the severe winter cold cannot stop the pace of project construction in Shenyang. On January 18, at the construction site of the Hunnan District Innovation ** Primary School project at No. 7 Mozi Shan Road in Hunnan District, busy workers could be seen everywhere. The on-site construction manager from China Railway Sixth Group told reporters that the project has completed static pressing of 720 precast piles, and building construction is about to begin.

　　The Innovation ** Primary School is a key supporting project of Phase VII of the Hunnan Science and Technology City and a key project in Hunnan District's effort to build a modern, high-quality school that is intelligent, digital, and personalized. The project includes teaching buildings, a comprehensive building, an underground garage, an outdoor sports field, campus landscaping, and supporting facilities such as perimeter walls, gates, roads, and pipe networks. With a building area of nearly 30,000 square meters, it can accommodate 1,080 students.

　　According to reports, since the onset of winter, all employees of the Phase VII project department of Shenyang Hunnan Science and Technology City have overcome unfavorable factors such as sharp temperature drops and thick frozen surface soil, persisting in working more than 10 hours a day. They have deployed large machinery such as hydraulic breakers and excavators to promptly clear snow and frozen soil from the surface, creating conditions for static pile press operations. Up to now, all 720 precast pile static pressing operations for the project have been completed, with 11 piles tested by static load testing and a 100% pass rate; earthwork excavation has exceeded 20,000 cubic meters.

　　Shenyang is seizing the "golden period" of winter construction to steadily advance key urban construction projects. To ensure the quality of winter construction and ensure that all process construction quality meets standards, Shenyang has established a "three-level supervision" control system involving the construction unit, supervision unit, and construction contractor, and is carrying out "round-the-clock" hazard inspections. "Next, the project department will strictly control work safety and project quality, go all out to accelerate construction progress, and ensure efficient project construction and high-quality commissioning, delivering a satisfactory result to the people of Shenyang," the person in charge of the China Railway Sixth Group Hunnan Science and Technology City project told reporters.
