In recent days, the Yichang-Changde Expressway expansion project has been steadily advancing, with multiple milestone works completed.

　　On January 16, the prefabrication of all 1,820 box girders for Section 9 of the Yichang-Changde Expressway expansion project was completed, 15 days ahead of the scheduled construction period. On January 17, the prefabrication of all small box girders for Section 2 of the Yichang-Changde Expressway expansion project was completed, and the casting of all prefabricated box girders in the Second Work Area of Section 4 was completed. To ensure project quality, safety, and production progress, all participating units in the Yichang-Changde Expressway expansion project made scientific arrangements, planned ahead, organized rationally, and produced efficiently. The completion of the above project milestones marks a solid step forward in the overall construction of the project.

　　According to statistics, as of January 17, 9,907 pile foundations for bridge works of the Yichang-Changde Expressway expansion project had been completed, accounting for 98.3% of the design; 8,678 columns had been completed, accounting for 95.11% of the design; and 18,937 girder slabs had been prefabricated and erected, accounting for 87.03% of the design. At present, all project departments will continue with subsequent construction such as box girder erection and bridge deck works, advancing the project construction safely, efficiently, and in an orderly manner, and striving for the project to be completed and opened to traffic as early as possible.
