On the afternoon of January 12, 2024, as the shield machine's cutterhead began to rotate slowly once again, it marked the successful launch of the left line of the Central Gate Station–Zhongfu Road Station section of Line 9. The left line of the Central Gate Station–Zhongfu Road Station section has a total length of 662.233 m; the section mainly passes through silty clay and locally weak soil strata, overcoming numerous construction difficulties and key challenges.

To ensure the complete success of this shield launch, Nanjing Metro planned ahead, organized scientifically, and made meticulous arrangements. Together with the participating construction units, it actively summarized the successful experience of the right-line launch and formulated a safer and more efficient shield machine launch plan, with reasonable division of labor and responsibilities assigned to each person. At the same time, training and education for on-site workers were intensified; through measures such as pre-shift briefings and on-site technical disclosures, workers' awareness of safe construction was strengthened. In addition, while overcoming the effects of heavy rain, snow, and low temperatures, rapid interleaved operations were carried out, winter insulation facilities were established in parallel, and the work of dismantling the shield machine and its assembly and commissioning was completed quickly, ultimately ensuring the smooth completion of this launch.
