On January 16, Qiancheng Pile Engineering received a notice of award: in a fierce bidding competition, Qiancheng Pile Engineering, relying on its strong construction strength, scientific construction organization design, and reasonable pricing proposal, successfully won the bid for the foundation pit support and pile foundation works of the Ninth Civil Engineering Section (Airport South Station) of the Fangbai Intercity Railway, with a contract value of nearly 80 million yuan!

The Ninth Section (Airport South Station) project of the Fangbai Intercity Railway is located on the south side of Baiyun Airport and the east side of Terminal 1, arranged from north to south along the west side of Airport Avenue. It is the ninth station of the Fangcun–Baiyun Airport Intercity Railway and provides ground-level transfer with Line 3 and the Xinhua–Baiyun Airport Intercity Railway.

The station is a two-level underground station. Its retaining structure consists of diaphragm walls plus internal bracing, and it is constructed mainly using the open-cut sequential construction method and the covered cut-and-cover sequential construction method. The small-mileage end is the shield receiving end of the running tunnel from the Jidong-Jinan Shield Shaft to Airport South Station, and the large-mileage end is the shield launching end of the running tunnel from Airport South Station to Airport North Station. The station platform is a 13 m island platform, with a total length of 342.05 m, a standard section width of 23.7 m, and an effective platform center floor slab burial depth of 22.35 m. A total of 4 entrances and 2 groups of ventilation pavilions are provided.

This project is the fifth sub-project undertaken by Qiancheng Pile Engineering on the Fangbai Intercity Railway, an important intercity railway in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, following its work on various sub-projects including Sections 7 and 8 of the Fangbai Intercity Railway. It is listed as the project with the largest scale, the highest degree of complexity, and the greatest difficulty coefficient among the foundation pit support works of the Fangbai Intercity Railway, and it attracted a large number of strong and outstanding companies in the foundation engineering industry to participate in the bidding.
