The Jiange County Water Conservancy Bureau has mustered its energy, racing against time to seize construction schedules and push projects forward, going full speed to accelerate water conservancy projects, greeting the new year with new achievements and striving to secure a strong start for the first quarter.

　　Recently, at the Jianxi River small watershed quality improvement and comprehensive treatment project, machines roared and construction workers bustled about, presenting a scene of vigorous, fast-paced work amid the cold winter days. It is understood that the project is located in the northern part of Jiange County, treating a soil erosion area of 25.73 km2, including 62.65 hm2 of slope-to-terrace conversion, 13.53 hm2 of economic fruit forest renovation and upgrading, 1,292.71 hm2 of closed-off treatment, and 1,204.40 hm2 of soil-conserving cultivation. It involves building 26.20 km of interception and drainage ditches, 20 water storage ponds, 113 siltation basins, 13.10 km of production access roads, 913 m of road-crossing culverts, and 1,550 m of ecological treatment of the Jianxi River channel. The total project investment is 27.80 million yuan.

　　"During the construction of this project, 365 local laborers from surrounding areas were employed, with per capita income increasing by 7,440 yuan. After the channel treatment portion of the project is completed, the silt in the channel section of the scenic area can be cleared, and the river water quality will be greatly improved, achieving smooth rivers, clear water, green banks, and beautiful scenery. This will further polish the golden signboard of Jianmenguan and fully realize the integration of tourism industry development and farmers' income growth, creating a vibrant scene of 'water nourishing the ancient town, blessings upon Jianmen.'" said Mu Hongchang, on-site project manager of Jiange County Water Conservancy Development (Group) Co., Ltd.

　　In recent days, the plant construction of the Heling Water Plant has been completed and passed municipal-level acceptance, the main pipeline has officially begun water supply, and branch pipelines are being intensively laid. The project is one of the county's key water conservancy projects, mainly addressing the drinking water problem for residents of townships such as Heling, Bailong, and Gongxing.

　　"After the Heling Water Plant project officially began water supply, it has effectively guaranteed drinking water for our Huaishu Village. Previously, this was the area with the most severe water shortage in Bailong Town. After the project is completed, the villagers of our village will no longer worry about water use, and it will also play a steady role in promoting the overall development of Huaishu Village," said Li Chunneng, secretary of Huaishu Village in Bailong Town.

　　In addition, the county Water Conservancy Bureau has solidly carried out government services. In accordance with a unified standard, the Water Conservancy Bureau has made public all aspects of its 27 applied-for government service items on the Sichuan Government Service Network, achieving "three-level, four-same" approval items; since 2023, it has provided 38 instances of "one-on-one" services such as business consultation and policy explanation for enterprises and the public, handled 19 water conservancy administrative licensing approvals, and resolved 6 on-site "urgent, difficult, worrying, and eagerly awaited" problems.

　　Up to now, the Jiange County Water Conservancy Bureau has seized the golden construction period for projects and the opportunity of "trillion-yuan government bonds," implementing 15 projects and applying for 19 trillion-yuan government bond projects. Projects such as the Jiange County small reservoir safe operation project and the Yangjiaba Reservoir medium-sized irrigation district renewal, supporting facilities, and water-saving renovation project have been completed and put into operation, while the Hefeng Reservoir, Yangjia River Water Plant, and Yangjiaba Reservoir urban water supply pipeline upgrading and renovation projects are continuing to be pushed forward at full speed.
