On January 13, at the 5th High-Quality Highway Construction Conference and the 2022–2023 Highway Traffic Quality Engineering Award Commendation Meeting held in Wuhan, Hubei, a total of 132 projects were honored with the "Highway Traffic Quality Engineering Award," and 2,386 people received the title of "Outstanding Project Builders." Dai Dongchang, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Transport, Zhou Jichang, Honorary Chairman of the China Highway Construction Industry Association, and others attended the meeting.

　　The conference was jointly hosted by the China Highway Construction Industry Association, the Hubei Provincial Department of Transportation, Hubei United Investment Group Co., Ltd., and Hubei Transportation Investment Group Co., Ltd. With the theme of "Creating Premium Quality Projects to Promote High-Quality Highway Development," the conference aimed to comprehensively advance the improvement of highway construction quality management, encourage the entire industry to carry forward the spirit of craftsmanship, raise the quality management level of highway construction enterprises, and promote high-quality development of the highway construction industry.

　　At the meeting, Xie Lili, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Wang Rengui, National Engineering Survey and Design Master, delivered keynote reports; Liu Xin, President of the Planning and Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, and Weng Yanzhen, Director of the Development Center of the China Academy of Transportation Sciences, provided policy interpretations; and Yuan Zhenggang, President of Glodon Company Limited, gave a presentation on the digital transformation of the highway construction industry.
