Recently, Qingdao Haixi Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. successfully completed the hoisting of the last jib of the 3600t floating crane at its own jetty wharf. At this point, all three hoisting steps of the 3600t floating crane jib—jib installation, wire rope reeving, and jib lifting—have been successfully completed.

　　This jib is a typical extra-long, extra-large, and extra-heavy component. Through the perfect combined use of the domestically pioneered jetty wharf and a self-built 1600t gantry crane, Haixi Heavy Machinery overcame the technical challenges of hoisting an ultra-large component and its dynamic inclined installation during hoisting in a unique way. This broke the traditional installation method of using a floating crane plus a barge to install a floating crane, reduced installation costs, effectively controlled construction and installation risks, and greatly shortened the construction period.

　　The successful completion of the fabrication and installation of the 3600t floating crane jib indicates that Haixi Heavy Machinery now fully possesses the software and hardware capabilities for the manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of large floating cranes, offshore engineering equipment, and more.
