On the eve of New Year's Day, the main structure of Xingye Road Station on Wuhan Rail Transit Line 12 was fully completed. This is the second station main structure completed by the Jiangbei Section Lot 7 project of Wuhan Metro Line 12 undertaken by China Railway 11th Bureau Group, providing favorable conditions for subsequent shield tunneling construction.

Main structure successfully capped

Xingye Road Station is located on the east side of the intersection of Xingye Road and Jianshe Avenue, laid out in an east-west direction along Xingye Road, and connects with the existing Line 3 via a passageway transfer. The station is an underground three-level, double-column, three-span island-platform station with a total outer length of 177.0 m and a maximum foundation pit depth of 28.1 m. The station base slab lies in silty and fine sand strata, where the strata have high permeability and the water head difference at the base is large; the foundation pit inclinometry is sensitive, and the construction risk is very high.

Construction site

Excavation of the station main foundation pit began on April 5, and all earthwork excavation was completed and the foundation pit base sealed in only 3 months. During the construction stage, the project department organized several monitoring data analysis meetings, strictly controlled the exposure time of excavation, promptly installed concrete and steel supports, and promptly erected replacement supports after completion of the base slab, effectively controlling the inclinometry deformation of the foundation pit. The project department specially prepared a "Quality Plan" and established a sound quality assurance system featuring "horizontal coverage to the edges, vertical coverage to the bottom, and effective control." Throughout the construction operation process, it implemented the "one-stop" operation management method of "briefing before work, inspection during work, and acceptance after work," adhered to the "three-inspection system" and "model system" during construction, strictly controlled concealed works acceptance, and organized joint tripartite acceptance for key processes such as hole formation, reinforcement cages, and concrete pouring, so as to achieve procedural, standardized, and normalized construction operations. At the same time, using Internet of Things technology, mobile communication technology, and sensor technology as means, it integrated on-site equipment and back-end databases to build a smart construction site. Through the real-name system, environmental monitoring system, equipment and material management system, and steel support axial force servo system, it ensured the smooth advancement of work such as safe production, quality control, and green construction on site. The project department has successively won honors including "Better Civilized Construction Site among City Construction Sites" in Wuhan urban and rural construction 3 times, monthly Top Ten Company once, and "Monthly Mobile Red Flag Site" from the Wuhan Municipal Construction Site Civilized Construction Leading Group 13 times.

It is reported that next the project department will coordinate and plan the remaining construction tasks, promptly carry out pipeline relocation and auxiliary structure construction, and ensure the successful completion of the Lot 7 project construction goals.
