Recently, the launch ceremony of the Heilongjiang Yichun Wuxing Pumped Storage Project was held. The Yichun Wuxing Pumped Storage Project was officially launched.

　　Li Lixin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor; Chen Shusheng, Deputy Chief Economist of Three Gorges Construction Engineering (Group); Wang Yi, Deputy General Manager of Zhongshui Northeast Survey, Design and Research Co., Ltd.; and Zheng Zhuping, General Manager of the Three Gorges New Energy Heilongjiang Branch, delivered speeches respectively. Yang Gongwei, General Manager of Yichun Forestry Industry Group, attended the ceremony.

　　At the launch ceremony, Li Lixin, on behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, extended warm congratulations on the launch of the project and paid tribute to all the builders advancing the Wuxing Pumped Storage Project. Li Lixin said that advancing the construction of the Wuxing Station pumped storage project is of milestone significance to Yichun's development of a green energy industry, and is an important measure to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches and important instructions on our province. All departments at all levels in the city should strengthen the concept of "projects first," effectively optimize the business environment, streamline procedures, reduce steps, and lower costs, create favorable conditions and a good environment for project construction, and work together to promote the project's completion, commissioning, and achievement of results. Construction units should strengthen project management, adhere to safety first and quality first, organize meticulously and construct scientifically, strengthen the awareness of excellence, strictly control ecological and environmental protection and safety and quality, and strive to build the project into a model project renowned throughout the province.

　　The Wuxing Pumped Storage Power Station is located in Wucui District, Yichun City. It is a key implementation project of the national "14th Five-Year Plan" and also the first investment project exceeding 10 billion yuan in the history of Yichun City. The project preparation period is 18 months, and the total construction period is 78 months. After completion, the power station will have an installed capacity of 1,800 MW and a designed annual power generation of 1.681 billion kWh. It will enhance the peak-shaving, valley-filling, and new energy consumption and outward transmission capabilities of our province's power grid, advance energy conservation in Yichun City and the building of a resource-saving and environment-friendly city, and promote Yichun's high-quality transformational development.
