Recently, the "Jingtong Hao," a super-large-diameter shield tunneling machine for intercity railway tunnels jointly built by CRCHI (China Railway Construction Heavy Industry) and China Railway 14th Bureau Group, was successfully launched in Beijing. The "Jingtong Hao" has a maximum excavation diameter of 13.3 meters and an overall length of approximately 138 meters.

It is understood that the Yunchaojian River Tunnel on Section 8 of the Beijing-Tangshan Railway, where the "Jingtong Hao" is deployed, is the first large-diameter high-speed rail shield tunnel connecting the Beijing-Tangshan Intercity Railway with the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center hub. The Beijing-Tangshan Intercity Railway starts from the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center Comprehensive Transportation Hub Station and ends at the existing Tangshan Station in Tangshan City, Hebei Province, passing through Tongzhou District of Beijing, Langfang City of Hebei Province, Baodi District of Tianjin, and Tangshan City of Hebei Province. The total length of the line is approximately 148.7 kilometers, with the Beijing section's main line totaling approximately 9 kilometers and a designed maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

In response to the characteristics of the project, including a large excavation cross-section, numerous geological risks, and high requirements for ground settlement control, the "Jingtong Hao" is equipped with multiple intelligent devices and advanced integrated technologies, such as a high-flow slurry circulation control system, a large-load multi-crane coordinated lifting system, an intelligent fine-tuning device for box culvert components, and a segment forming quality monitoring system, providing strong support for the smooth construction of the Yunchaojian River Tunnel project on the Beijing-Tangshan line.

It is reported that once the Beijing-Tangshan Intercity Railway is completed and opened to traffic, it will effectively improve the transport service level of the intercity corridor from Tongzhou, Beijing to Tangshan, greatly facilitate travel for the people along the line, promote economic and social development along the route, and be of great significance for relieving Beijing of non-capital functions, improving the railway network structure in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and serving the implementation of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy.
