At Sunward Intelligent

there is a large group of craftsmen who work diligently and contribute quietly

They come from ordinary positions

yet with a pair of skilled hands they "handle" their work

winning many honors

and creating countless "small miracles"

Kuang Hongwen

Conquering "bottleneck technologies" with his own hands

When he first became an apprentice, Kuang Hongwen learned machine tool operation from his master during the day and insisted on reading and studying at night, thus developing a good habit of self-study. Later, with a strong drive to dig deep, he taught himself professional books closely related to his work, such as Machining Processes and Equipment and Tool Grinding.

At present, he knows CNC lathes inside out and is thoroughly familiar with the processing methods and process flows for every kind of part, as well as the fabrication of long shaft parts, thin-walled sleeve parts, special threaded products, and aircraft parts, conquering "bottleneck technologies" with his own hands. "It's not scary to encounter difficulties at work; what's scary is being afraid to accept the challenge!" Through his actions, he writes the extraordinary story of an ordinary position.

In 2017, Kuang Hongwen won first place in the Changsha CNC Lathe Worker competition and the Changsha May 1st Labor Medal, and was named a Changsha Technical Expert. In 2023, he was awarded the honorary title of "Changsha Craftsman."

Li Guiwen

Following Sunward products to every corner of the world

Li Guiwen joined Sunward Intelligent right after graduation and has worked there for nearly twenty years. He is down-to-earth and conscientious, and has been equally adept in every role, from underground engineering equipment fitter and commissioning work to after-sales service engineer.

He is the "vanguard" of the after-sales service team, fulfilling the mission of "creating value for customers" with his own hands. The company's first pile frame shipped to South Korea, first three-motor fast-drop rotary drilling rig shipped to Singapore, first full-slewing drilling rig shipped to Vietnam, and first deep mixing drilling rig shipped to Indonesia all bear his busy figure.

As "Made in China" is recognized by more and more people around the world, Li Guiwen feels even more strongly the pride of being a Chinese craftsman. "Watching Chinese brands step by step go global, of course I feel proud and honored." His dream is to "follow Sunward products to every corner of the world." He will, as always, temper his mind and character through work, hold fast to his dream, and move forward steadily.

In 2021, Li Guiwen participated in the Changsha "Ten Trades Champions, One Hundred Outstanding Craftsmen" employee vocational skills competition. With solid basic skills and a calm mindset, he performed excellently and won the title of champion in engineering machinery assembly and commissioning. In 2023, he was awarded the honorary title of "Changsha Craftsman."
Chen Dong

Driving production toward digitalization and intelligence

"With a remote control in hand, I can operate several robots at work." After several years of working alongside machines, Chen Dong feels something rather special. He is no longer burned by welding sparks, nor does he feel that backaching fatigue. He feels that the robots also "need" him.

He says that welding posture, torch swing amplitude, and lift angle—these "special skills" of human welding masters—are parameters that need to be adjusted for welding robots. Choose one or choose two; machines and people need to "figure it out" together. Through 3D simulation, craftsmen's special skills are programmed. Chen Dong only needs to input operating instructions to reduce the production line's dependence on manual labor and drive production toward digitalization and intelligence.

In 2019, Chen Dong won the championship in the robot welding event at the Changsha Vocational Skills Competition and the Changsha May 1st Labor Medal, and was named a Changsha Technical Expert. In 2023, he was awarded the honorary title of "Changsha Craftsman."
Zhou Zhengchun

"Welding" out a new world with hard-earned sweat

Zhou Zhengchun became a welder at the age of 17. This unassuming young man from Ningxiang, with a drive and determination to endure hardship and study diligently, took just 10 years to go from an ordinary student to a municipal model worker, "welding" out a new world with his hard-earned sweat.

When he left school, he also had many expectations and hopes for society. When he first entered the factory, the monotonous and heavy daily work made Zhou Zhengchun feel lost because he could not see any "prospects." He remembered what his teacher had said at technical school: "Without first-class skills, it is impossible to have a first-class life." Zhou Zhengchun quickly adjusted his life goal: he had no advanced degree, so only by learning skills well, starting from the grassroots, and starting from his current position could he gain a foothold in society. He was determined to become the best welder. "I don't believe I can't make something of myself!"

From then on, he seemed like a different person, devoting himself wholeheartedly to studying welding processes. In his second year at the factory, Zhou Zhengchun participated in the Hunan Province "Chenhui Cup" welding skills competition and won fourth place in the province. In 2001, he participated in the Changsha "Innovation Cup" welding skills competition and won first place in the city, and was named a Changsha Technical Expert.

In 2007, he found that the excavators the company was producing at the time could not pass quality inspection with manual welding, and the finished appearance was not good either. So this diligent young man threw himself into improving the excavator welding process. According to estimates, this improvement alone could create more than 100,000 yuan in value for the company each year.

In 2021, Zhou Zhengchun was awarded the titles of "Changsha High-Skilled Leading Talent" and "Outstanding Model Worker Craftsman Mentor-Apprentice," as well as "Outstanding Craftsman of China's Machinery Industry." In 2023, he was awarded the honorary title of "Changsha Craftsman."
