Recently, the Guangzhou Huangpu District school building project (Huangpu Yijing Experimental School) officially commenced construction. Five large Zoomlion rotary drilling rigs, three ZCT-series telescopic-boom crawler cranes, and multiple excavators are working in a cluster to contribute to Guangzhou's urban livelihood development.

It is understood that the project has a building area of approximately 80,000 square meters, mainly comprising three teaching buildings totaling 11,711.3 square meters, a library of 805.9 square meters, a gymnasium of 5,544.25 square meters, a comprehensive building of 4,137.47 square meters, four dormitory buildings totaling 26,637.63 square meters, a cafeteria of 4,695.96 square meters, and other supporting areas of 25,280.29 square meters.

In addition, the school staff supporting project is located south of Changling Road in Changlingju and east of the North Second Ring Expressway. The project has a building area of approximately 27,000 square meters and provides a total of 400 staff dormitory units and talent apartments for Yijing Experimental School, along with about 250 parking spaces and approximately 1,000 square meters of ancillary supporting space, with a total investment of 150 million yuan.

Among them, the ZR420G-II rotary drilling rig is a typical representative of the G-series products. It is understood that the project site geology consists of hard rock with crystalline characteristics and hardness above 80 MPa. When high-strength bedrock is encountered, cutting teeth wear severely and drilling becomes particularly slow; switching to a roller-cone barrel drill to continue drilling greatly improves drilling efficiency, reduces the frequency of cutting-teeth replacement, and increases the effective pure drilling time. The barrel drill plus roller cones (10 units) method is suitable for efficient hard rock drilling, ensures equipment stability, and better extends equipment service life.

According to the operator, since the project started, work has been about 11 hours per day, and the Zoomlion ZR420G-II consumes about 25 liters of fuel per hour, making it a very fuel-efficient partner!
