On November 25, the reporter learned from the Municipal Development and Reform Commission that the Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently approved the feasibility study report for the Ningde Zhangwan Port railway dedicated line and agreed to construct the Ningde Zhangwan Port railway dedicated line.

It is understood that the Ningde Zhangwan Port railway dedicated line project is located in Jiaocheng District. It is an important infrastructure project for the Quzhou-Ningde Railway to open up the last kilometer and extend into the port area to connect with the Zhangwan public berths and the port-side industrial zone, and has been included in the national "14th Five-Year Plan" railway development plan.

The line starts from the tail end of the already-built Shangtang Grand Bridge on the Ningde area freight line at the north end of Ningde North Station on the Quzhou-Ningde Railway, crosses the existing Provincial Highway S201, the planned National Highway G228 and the Shugang Avenue, then runs southeast southward along Zhangwan Avenue, and sets up Zhangwan Port Station and a railway freight yard in Niaoyu Village.

The main line has a total length of 6.083 kilometers, with a total estimated investment of about 2.95 billion yuan and a total land and sea area of about 1,990 mu.

A responsible person from the Municipal Development and Reform Commission stated that the Ningde Zhangwan Port railway dedicated line project is of great significance for building the "Core Zone of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road" with high quality, improving the collection and distribution system of the Ningde Zhangwan Port area, enhancing the level of sea-rail intermodal transport, promoting the development of Ningde's industrial clusters, improving the layout of Ningde's logistics industry, and driving regional economic and social development.

Next, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission will submit the feasibility study report and approval to the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Natural Resources, track and urge the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Natural Resources to clarify the sea use opinion as soon as possible, submit it to the State Council for approval, promptly carry out the project's preliminary design, deepen relevant preliminary work, and strive for the project to start construction as early as possible.
