On November 18, the "Zhenxing No. 1" shield machine was successfully launched for the right line of the shield-driven section from Yongchun North Station to Yongchun South Station on the Changchun Rail Transit Line 1 South Extension Project, constructed by the First Engineering Command of China Railway Construction Bridge Engineering Bureau Group. This marks the project's entry into the shield construction phase, opening a new chapter in underground construction and injecting strong momentum into advancing the overall schedule.

The Changchun Rail Transit Line 1 South Extension Project includes one station and one section: Yongchun South Station and the shield-driven section from Yongchun North Station to Yongchun South Station. Yongchun South Station is the longest underground two-level island-platform station on the entire line and is constructed using the cut-and-cover method. The shield-driven section runs along the existing main road, with a left-line length of 869 meters and a right-line length of 816 meters; it is launched from the small-mileage end of Yongchun South Station and received at the large-mileage end of Yongchun North Station.

To ensure that "Zhenxing No. 1" successfully completes the tunneling task for this section and achieves breakthrough as early as possible, the project department planned ahead, implemented detailed preparatory work, formulated a task list, refined the division of responsibilities, convened an expert demonstration meeting on the construction plan, and conducted simulation drills. After nearly a month of commissioning, all systems and components were confirmed to be operating normally, and parameters were adjusted to ensure tunneling precision and reliability, providing strong guarantees for the successful launch of the "Zhenxing No. 1" shield machine. The shield team has previously successfully completed shield construction tasks for Changchun Rail Transit Lines 1, 2, 6, and 7, achieving breakthroughs in 15 shield-driven sections. After more than a decade of dedicated work, the team has mastered core shield technology advantages and accumulated rich construction experience, while also cultivating a group of shield professionals and achieving the management goals of creating efficiency, reputation, and talent.
