On November 15, with the completion of concrete pouring for the ninth roof slab at the Training Center Station, the main structure of all stations in the Ningbo Rail Transit Line 8 TJ8103 project undertaken by China Railway 18th Bureau Group was fully completed, and the project has fully entered the construction phase of ancillary structures.

The first phase of the Ningbo Rail Transit Line 8 project (Jiangcun Station–Jiangbei Avenue Station) is an urban line running from the southeast to the northwest of Ningbo, with a total length of 23.3 km. The TJ8103 project undertaken by the Municipal Engineering Company covers two stations. Among them, the Jiuzhaixu Station achieved capping of its main structure in July this year. The Training Center Station capped this time is an underground two-story island-platform station with an 11-meter platform, a total length of 299.6 meters and a width of 18.3 meters. The base slab in the standard section is buried at a depth of approximately 16.3 meters, and the station is constructed using the open-cut top-down method under a cover slab.

Since the start of construction, the Municipal Engineering Company has carried out two traffic diversion schemes at the Training Center Station, both of which were relatively difficult and had tight schedules. The work area made advance arrangements, and the project team actively communicated with external parties, ensuring that the traffic diversions were completed on schedule. At the same time, in view of the fact that the project pipelines were relatively close to the foundation pit, the project team ensured the safety of the pipelines during excavation by increasing the depth of the diaphragm wall guide walls.

In view of the fact that the west end of the foundation pit at the Training Center Station has a trumpet-shaped structure, that heavy vehicles pass frequently over the traffic cover slab arranged above the foundation pit on the north side of the west end, and that deformation control of the foundation pit is difficult, the project team actively communicated with the design and owner units. By adding a steel support servo system in the transition section at the west end, adopting layered and block-by-block excavation, and closing the bottom in sections, the team substantially reduced the backfilling and construction time of the foundation pit, and deformation of the foundation pit was effectively controlled.

During construction, the project team of the Municipal Engineering Company, in accordance with the overall requirements of the "Action for Value Creation by Benchmarking World-Class Enterprises," strengthened management innovation, implemented the concept of safe development, and steadily advanced construction production with high standards and strict requirements. Through the joint efforts of all parties, the main structure of the Training Center Station was capped 46 days ahead of schedule, laying a solid foundation for the efficient advancement of subsequent ancillary structure construction.

It is reported that the first phase of the Ningbo Rail Transit Line 8 project (Jiangcun Station–Jiangbei Avenue Station) is an urban line running in the southeast–northwest direction of Ningbo. After it is opened to traffic, a rapid passenger transport corridor will be established along the route among Jiangbei District, the Haishu central area, and the Yinzhou southern new city, greatly alleviating urban traffic congestion. It is of great significance for enhancing rapid north-south connections within the city and transport connections within the metropolitan area, and for improving the transfer capacity of the rail network.
