Recently, XCMG EBZ260 roadheaders were shipped to a tunnel project and put into operation. During operation, the equipment ran reliably with solid quality, and both product performance and construction efficiency won high praise from the customer.

The tunnel conditions for this XCMG roadheader construction were complex, with various working conditions overlapping. The lower section consists of fine sandstone rich in quartz, with rock Protodyakonov hardness of about F8-F10, making construction relatively difficult.

The EBZ260 roadheader's loading mechanism uses high-strength wear-resistant steel plate, a double-rocker tunnel mechanism, hydraulic motors, and an oil-cylinder clamping-plate tensioning structure. With a reasonable pick arrangement and strong drilling and rock-breaking capability, it is mainly designed for medium-hard rock, soft rock, and relatively soft rock on site. It successfully completed the construction task under the project's complex conditions and won repeated praise from the customer.

The EBZ260 roadheader features dynamic LCD Chinese-character display, self-diagnosis, and memory functions; it adopts constant power, pressure cut-off, and load-sensing control for longer component life; and it uses annular three-layer water-curtain dust removal. The whole machine is highly equipped, stable, safer, and more reliable.

Thanks to its high stability and safety, the XCMG EBZ260 roadheader achieved single-day excavation of over 9 meters, successfully breaking the tunnel mine's single-day excavation record. Under full-attendance operation, monthly advance can reach 228 meters, exceeding expected results and demonstrating core competitive advantages over similar models in the industry in performance, advance rate, and failure rate.

At present, the XCMG EBZ series coal-mine roadheaders have formed a full product range covering light, medium, heavy, and hard-rock types, fully meeting the construction requirements of harsh coal-mine conditions and different working conditions. While providing efficient and safe mechanized construction equipment for coal-mine roadway construction, they have greatly raised the technical level of domestically produced roadheaders.
