Recently, on the left bank of the Yangtze River at Dajun Mountain in Wuhan, machines roared and workers bustled. A touch of "Aurora Green" stood by the Yangtze River as three Zoomlion rotary drilling rigs worked in joint operation, guarding the "Hero City" together and jointly supporting the construction of the Chegu Central City section (Xiaojun Mountain–Dajun Mountain) of the Left Bank Avenue project.

It is understood that the Left Bank Avenue project is an important transportation artery on the Yangtze River left bank industry-city integration development belt in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone, with a total length of about 48 kilometers. The project is scheduled to open to traffic in July 2024. With a tight schedule and heavy tasks, the Zoomlion ZR420GP rotary drilling rig, a China IV forward-tilting machine, performed outstandingly in construction, drilling an average of more than 50 meters per day, with verticality within 5 per thousand. According to reports, the project duration is about 3 months. The cast-in-place piles are mainly 1.8 meters in diameter, with pile depths ranging from 30 to 58 meters. The geology is mostly fragmented limestone with a hardness of about 50 MPa. The ZR420GP rotary drilling rig can still easily handle hard rock strata when using a sand-grabbing bucket for construction, and the mast remains stable when entering rock. The equipment's strong applicability has been unanimously praised by the project party.
