On November 17, the First BRICS Innovation Base Entrepreneurs Forum was held in Xiamen. As one of the 2023 BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership series of events, this forum aims to build a regular exchange and cooperation platform for BRICS enterprises and further promote technical exchange and project cooperation.

The forum was hosted by the BRICS Innovation Base Industrial Innovation Alliance and jointly organized by the International Economic and Technical Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China General Technology (Group) Holding Co., Ltd., the Office of the Leading Group for the Construction of the Xiamen BRICS Innovation Base, and the People's Government of Huli District, Xiamen.

Xiang Wenbo, Party Secretary and Rotating Chairman of Sany Group and Chairman of Sany Heavy Industry, was invited to attend the forum and delivered a keynote speech as Vice Chairman of the BRICS Innovation Base Industrial Innovation Alliance.

Xiang Wenbo said that this year marks the fifth anniversary of President Xi Jinping's proposal of the "BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership." Through high-quality partnerships, BRICS cooperation injects more certainty, stability and positive energy into the world.

In BRICS countries, Sany has participated in a number of major infrastructure projects, including Saudi Arabia's Red Sea Project and King Salman Park.

Among them, the BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership focuses on practical cooperation, especially in areas such as green development. Sany regards low-carbon development as an important strategy for the Group's development. On the one hand, it is achieving product electrification, and has established parallel electrification business divisions in all business units to focus on developing and promoting electrified products. On the other hand, it is making a comprehensive layout in the new energy industry, entering the wind, solar, hydrogen, energy storage and new energy battery industries, and taking new energy as the main direction for drawing Sany's second growth curve.

In 2022, Sany (including Putzmeister) sold 14,500 units of equipment in BRICS countries such as Brazil, India and South Africa, with sales exceeding 13 billion yuan.

In the first three quarters of this year, Sany sold another 14,500 units in BRICS countries, with sales of more than 14 billion yuan, already exceeding the whole of last year and accounting for about 40% of the Group's overall overseas sales in the period.

BRICS cooperation has broad prospects and an promising future.
