On November 7, the Z2 line of the Fengziding Tunnel in the Er'e Mountain section of the Tianfu Renshou Avenue—the southern extension of Tianfu Avenue—was holed through. With this, both tunnels along the entire section have been completed, laying a solid foundation for the full line to open to traffic next year.

Tianfu Renshou Avenue has a total length of 38.6 kilometers. The Er'e Mountain section under construction is 12.459 kilometers long and is invested in and built by China Railway 23rd Bureau Group. The road is designed for a speed of 80 kilometers per hour; the subgrade section has a total width of 45.5 meters with eight lanes in both directions and a 9-meter-wide landscaped median strip in the middle, while the tunnel section is designed as eight lanes in both directions across four separate bores.

The eight one-way tunnels with a total length of 10.5 kilometers are the bottleneck works of the entire project schedule. Since construction began, China Railway 23rd Bureau Group has adopted multiple measures to organize construction and production. Combining advanced geological forecasting and monitoring measurement data, it established a full-tunnel intelligent monitoring system, achieving intelligent, visual, and dynamic management of key areas at the tunnel face and high-risk points in critical processes, greatly improving the level of tunnel safety and quality control.

After Tianfu Renshou Avenue opens to traffic, it will provide a direct southward route from Chengdu all the way to Renshou County, Meishan City, bringing great convenience to residents of both places. It will accelerate Renshou's full integration into Chengdu's coordinated urban development, speed up the release of county-level spatial, specialty-industry, and ecological development resources, and drive high-quality economic and social development in Renshou County.
