On November 6, the right tube of the Yangjiawopu Extra-Long Tunnel on the Chengping section of the Capital Region Ring Expressway, constructed by CCCC Road & Bridge Construction Co., Ltd., was successfully holed through.
The Chengping section of the Capital Region Ring Expressway starts at the Lijiaying Interchange of the Changchun-Shenzhen Expressway (G25) and ends at the Hebei-Beijing border, with a main line length of about 59 km, built to a two-way six-lane expressway standard. The Yangjiawopu Extra-Long Tunnel is a key controlling project of the Chengping section of the Capital Region Ring Expressway, with a left tube 5,103 meters long and a right tube 5,054 meters long. The tunnel site area features denudational low-mountain topography with fault structures, making construction relatively difficult.
During construction, the project team of CCCC Road & Bridge Construction Co., Ltd. used the "Party Member Commando Team" as a vehicle to strengthen process control, adhered to grasping both quality and safety and scientific and technological innovation, and in response to the characteristics, key points, and difficulties of the Yangjiawopu Extra-Long Tunnel construction, invited tunnel experts for multi-party demonstration, carried out geological surveys and data analysis many times, repeatedly verified the reserved settlement, strictly performed advance support and monitoring and measurement work, and modified the tunnel secondary lining waterproof board hanging trolley according to the actual engineering conditions. Through a series of solid and effective measures, the tunnel construction was ensured to advance smoothly and orderly.

The project followed the construction policy of "mechanization replacing people, informatization reducing people, and intelligent transformation," and actively promoted mechanized construction of large-section tunnels. At the tunnel entrance, a "nine-set" mechanized construction equipment configuration was deployed to improve the degree of mechanization in tunnel construction, effectively reducing workers' labor intensity and improving tunnel excavation efficiency.
On this basis, the project combined a visual intelligent monitoring system with BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology. Through collaborative application on PC and mobile terminals, it achieved real-time dynamic control of all links in mechanized tunnel construction, helping management personnel accurately grasp construction progress. Through integrated analysis of construction data, BIM technology was used to simulate on-site construction operations, refine emergency plans, and guide mechanized equipment in precise construction, achieving the construction target of 200 meters of single-tube monthly excavation for a three-lane large-section tunnel.
The expressway is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in September 2024. After opening, it will become the second expressway corridor from Chengde into Beijing, and is of great significance for accelerating the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, alleviating traffic pressure in the capital, and promoting local economic development and tourism resource development.
