On October 31, 2023, the China Construction Machinery Association organized in Changsha, Hunan Province a scientific and technological achievement appraisal meeting for two projects of Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zoomlion"): "Key Technologies and Product Application of High-end Crawler Cranes" and, of its partner Zhuzhou Gear Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhuzhou Gear"), "Key Technologies and Application of High-torque Reducers for Crawler Cranes." The appraisal committee, composed of industry authorities from various organizations, conducted an on-site scientific and technological achievement appraisal. The committee included Qi Jun, Honorary President and Special Advisor of the Association; Xu Gening, Professor at Taiyuan University of Science and Technology; Lu Daming, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society; Li Dongru, Professor-level Senior Engineer at the China Machinery Industry Federation; Li Jianyou, Professor-level Senior Engineer at China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd.; Lu Nianli, Professor at Harbin Institute of Technology; Hu Lin, Professor at Changsha University of Science and Technology; Tang Jinyuan, Professor at Central South University; and Yang Shiping, Professor at Xiangtan University. Wang Dayu, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Quality Department of the Association, chaired the meeting.

Accompanied by Pan Xiaodong, Chairman of Zhuzhou Gear, the experts visited Zhuzhou Gear Co., Ltd. Accompanied and guided by Fu Ling, Vice President and Chief Engineer of Zoomlion, they visited the Zoomlion Smart Industrial City and Hunan Zoomlion Crawler Crane Co., Ltd., inspected the products and production sites, listened to the enterprises' reports on scientific and technological achievements, and reviewed relevant materials. After questioning and discussion, the overall technology was deemed to have reached the international leading level.
