From October 30 to November 1, the 2023 Shanghai International City and Architecture Expo officially opened at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center. As a comprehensive large-scale international platform for showcasing urban construction and management, the construction and operation and maintenance of underground space have always been an important topic in urban construction and management. During this period, the 2023 Underground Space Construction and Operation & Maintenance Science and Technology Innovation Forum was held concurrently. The forum focused on key common technologies, cutting-edge leading technologies, modern engineering technologies, and disruptive innovative technologies in the process of underground space construction and operation and maintenance, promoting extensive exchange and application of new industry concepts, new technologies, new equipment, new processes, and new materials.

"Introduction to the TAD Method and Engineering Cases":In the report, Director Wang presented on the TAD method prefabricated assembled underground diaphragm wall technology, the principles and characteristics of the TAD method, its development history, common specification selection of precast sheet piles, the construction process of the method, and application cases of the method.

The TAD method refers to the trench-cutting assembled underground diaphragm wall construction method. This method involves inserting reinforced concrete precast wall panels with prestressed mortise-and-tenon mechanisms {locks} into the middle of a trench-cutting cement-soil continuous wall to form an assembled underground diaphragm wall. Compared with traditional underground diaphragm wall construction techniques, the TAD method has advantages such as less occupied space, strong adaptability, short construction period, and environmental friendliness.

The report cited the excellent performance of multiple typical construction cases across the country, conducted an in-depth analysis of the main technical characteristics and new intelligent control technologies of the TAD method, and comprehensively introduced the application of the TAD method and the core advantages of TRD construction equipment in the field of trench-cutting cement-soil continuous wall construction.

"Green Pile Foundation Construction Methods and Cases":With social development and economic progress, there are increasingly more large industrial, civil, and high-rise building construction projects. The static drill rooted pile is a newly innovated and promoted pile foundation technology. It combines the advantages of precast piles and cast-in-place piles. In terms of pile body characteristics, construction technology, quality control methods, and improvement of the load-bearing characteristics of the pile foundation, it has achieved notable results in pile foundation engineering cost and environmental protection.

The static drill rooted method refers to a pile foundation method in which a static drill rooted pile rig is used for drilling, deep mixing, and enlarged-base grouting mixing, and finally a precast pile is implanted, with construction carried out according to processes such as drilling, base enlargement, grouting, and pile implantation. The pile implantation method has characteristics such as no soil squeezing, no vibration, and low noise; good pile formation quality with fully controllable pile top elevation; extremely strong vertical compressive, uplift, and lateral load resistance; and low slurry discharge.

The report explained the research background of the pile implantation method, its characteristics, equipment configuration, and construction cases, and stated that Shanggong Machinery's SDP series static drill rooted pile method rig features high torque, large drilling depth, high technological content, good reliability, and high construction efficiency, with performance reaching internationally advanced levels.
