Abstract: On October 19, 2023, the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering organized experts to review the Technical Standard for Composite Load-Bearing Concrete-Filled Steel Tube Inclined Supports (Draft for Review), compiled by Jiangsu Huayan Construction Co., Ltd. and other units, in Suzhou in a combined offline and online format.

On October 19, 2023, the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering organized experts to review the Technical Standard for Composite Load-Bearing Concrete-Filled Steel Tube Inclined Supports (Draft for Review), compiled by Jiangsu Huayan Construction Co., Ltd. and other units, in Suzhou in a combined offline and online format.

Professor-level Senior Engineer Yang Guanghua, Honorary President of the Guangdong Research Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower, served as the head of the expert review panel. Members of the panel included Liu Songyu, Chief Professor of Southeast University; Professor-level Senior Engineer Gong Jian, Chief Expert of Shanghai Construction Group; Professor-level Senior Engineer Guo Xiling, Vice Chairman of the Standardization Technical Committee of the Society; Research Fellow Huang Lixing, Consultant Secretary-General; Professor Li Jianlin, former Party Secretary of China Three Gorges University; Professor Liu Junyan of University of Jinan; Professor Gu Huanda of Suzhou University of Science and Technology; Professor Tan Yuehu of Army Engineering University; Professor-level Senior Engineer Gui Lin, Chief Engineer of the Construction Branch of Suzhou Rail Transit Group; and Senior Engineer Li Xianghong, Chief Engineer of Zhongyifeng Construction Group Co., Ltd. More than 30 representatives from the lead and participating drafting units, including Jiangsu Huayan Construction Co., Ltd., Hohai University, Chongqing University, Soochow University, and Jiangsu Huadong Geological Construction Group Co., Ltd., attended the review meeting.

The review meeting was chaired by Research Fellow Huang Lixing, Consultant Secretary-General of the Standardization Technical Committee of the Society, who introduced the review requirements for draft group standards of the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering. The review experts listened to the report of the drafting group and carefully examined the draft standard chapter by chapter and article by article. After questioning and discussion, the expert panel unanimously agreed that the Technical Specification for Expanded-Base Load-Bearing Concrete-Filled Steel Tube Inclined Supports (Draft for Review) has a complete structure and basically reasonable content, and meets the drafting requirements for a draft group standard for review. The expert panel put forward specific revision suggestions on the content of the specification and unanimously agreed that the draft standard passed the review, recommending that the drafting group revise and improve it as soon as possible to form a draft for approval.
