This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. Over the past decade, Belt and Road cooperation has extended from the Eurasian continent to Africa and Latin America; more than 150 countries and over 30 international organizations have signed Belt and Road cooperation documents, and historic achievements have been made.
As a leading equipment manufacturing enterprise, Sunward has actively responded to the Belt and Road Initiative, striving forward with the goal of "being a creator of world value in the equipment manufacturing field" and actively providing customers with comprehensive construction solutions, benefiting not only domestic customers but also winning favor with overseas customers. In the course of Belt and Road construction, "Sunward Green" can be seen in many places. While rapidly expanding business and continuously enhancing brand influence, Sunward also consistently practices social responsibility and leads green development, showcasing to the world the charm and strength of China's construction machinery.
Riding the east wind of the Belt and Road, setting sail overseas
At present, after more than a decade of deep cultivation in overseas markets, Sunward has established a relatively complete marketing network in countries along the Belt and Road. Sales of construction machinery products cover more than 90% of the countries along the Belt and Road, and to date involve multiple product categories including excavating machinery, piling machinery, and mining equipment. The company now has more than a hundred agents and multiple secondary and tertiary parts warehouses, and will achieve full coverage of the countries along the route in the future.

△In 2022, the first China-Europe Railway Express (Changsha) Sunward dedicated train departed.
In fact, Sunward's internationalization path has followed a unique development route, starting first from developed European countries. In 2004, excavators were exported to Italy in batches, making Sunward the first batch of Chinese brands to export to Europe in volume; today, Sunward's excavator fleet in Europe exceeds 20,000 units. Since 2022, multiple China-Europe dedicated trains have departed carrying Sunward equipment, and more and more equipment is entering the European market.
In Asia, especially Southeast Asia, with the proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative, Sunward's pace of deployment at important nodes along the route has clearly accelerated. In 2014, Sunward pile foundation equipment participated in Singapore's largest-ever pile foundation project. Subsequently, as a complete equipment supplier, Sunward participated in the construction of aid projects including the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway, the New Phnom Penh Stadium, and the Phnom Penh Hospital in Cambodia, and supported construction of Bangladesh's Padma Railway project. In addition, "Sunward Green" can be seen at multiple key projects such as the China-Laos Railway, the China-Thailand Railway, the Chao Phraya River water conservancy project, and the Johor Bahru-Singapore RTS Link in Malaysia.

In Africa, Sunward has sold more than a thousand machines, including excavators, rotary drilling rigs, rock drilling equipment, skid-steer loaders, cranes, and aerial work equipment, with a total equipment value of approximately 600 million yuan. These are mainly distributed in East Africa, West Africa, and South Africa, and have been deployed in important African engineering and construction projects such as the Mombasa-Nairobi Railway and the Nairobi-Malaba Railway in Kenya, the Lagos Light Rail project in Nigeria, and coal mine projects in South Africa, earning high praise from local government officials and project owners. In the next three years, the company plans to achieve full coverage of the African region.
Implementing the "localization" strategy: going global and going further in
To further serve overseas markets, Sunward has implemented a "localization" strategy, establishing localized subsidiaries in multiple countries along the Belt and Road including Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Singapore, and South Africa. It has more than a hundred staff on overseas assignment, with foreign employees accounting for over 40%. It has built sales and service teams including localized employees and overseas central warehouses, and established a 24-hour customer service center to provide support for key project construction.
Beyond bringing advanced equipment, Sunward also passes on technology and services to its Belt and Road partners.

△The Sunward Service Ten-Thousand-Mile Tour visits Africa.
"Sunward is good! Made in China is good!" In July this year, the Sunward Service Ten-Thousand-Mile Tour visited Ghana in Africa. Braving the scorching sun and traveling over mountains and rivers, the service team provided hands-on guidance to African partners on equipment maintenance, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting, letting African customers experience Sunward's genuine sincerity!

Over more than a decade of "going global," Sunward people have opened roads through mountains and built bridges across rivers, actively participating in the construction of countries along the Belt and Road. SUNWARD equipment can be seen everywhere, placing every Sunward product in every corner of the world. This is precisely the mission and responsibility that heavy industry practitioners should shoulder, demonstrating China's spirit through "great power equipment."
