On October 15, the right tube of the Rimudong Tunnel on the G0611 Tongren–Sairilong Expressway, constructed by Qinghai Provincial Transportation Control Construction Engineering Group, was successfully holed through, marking the completion of double-tube holing-through for the tunnel.

The Rimudong Tunnel is located in Zêkog County, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. The tunnel site lies in a tectonically denuded zone of soft-rock high-mountain gorges. The tunnel is designed as an end-wall-type rock short tunnel, with the main bore inner contour adopting a three-centered circle design. The left tube is 418 meters long and the right tube 454 meters long, with the tunnel body passing through strongly and moderately weathered sandstone.

During tunnel construction, the TSEPC-1 project department focused on building a quality project, safe project, green project, and clean project, strengthened process control over quality and safety, increased equipment investment, adopted an integrated information monitoring system for work safety, actively promoted the application of the "four new technologies" and the transformation of "micro-innovation in techniques" achievements, reasonably optimized construction work plans, and strictly controlled construction safety and quality. At the same time, the TSEPC-1 project department carried out tunnel work safety production under the "Party building+" model, giving full play to the role of the Party branch as a fighting fortress, using Party member commando teams, Party member demonstration posts, and tunnel responsibility zones to unite efforts and fight collaboratively. They overcame construction difficulties such as water seepage in the crown where fissures are relatively developed, shallow cover and unsymmetrical loading at both portals, and high support difficulty, safely advancing the completion of double-tube holing-through of the Rimudong Tunnel.
