Recently, Pinghe County held the concentrated start and completion activities for key engineering projects in the fourth quarter of 2023 and the commencement ceremony for the Pinghe County Guanfeng Reservoir Project. Eleven engineering projects started or completed construction in a concentrated manner, with a total investment of 5.35 billion yuan.

Among the projects that started or completed construction this time, the largest investment is in the people's livelihood project, the Pinghe County Guanfeng Reservoir Project, with a total investment of 1.145 billion yuan. It is a medium-sized reservoir project mainly for water supply, while also taking into account irrigation and energy-dissipation power generation. It mainly involves the construction of a dam, spillway, water diversion and transmission system, and a two-stage energy-dissipation power station, among others. The reservoir has a catchment area of 45 square kilometers and an average annual water supply of 33.74 million cubic meters, diverting 31.17 million cubic meters to the urban area of Pinghe County and surrounding townships. The water diversion and transmission system along the route benefits Qiling, Xiazhai, Banzi, Xiaoxi, Shange, and other townships, supplying water to a population of 220,000, accounting for about 49% of the county's permanent resident population.

Among the 11 projects that started or completed construction in a concentrated manner, 8 are started projects, namely the Pinghe County Guanfeng Reservoir Project, the Pinghe County Guancheng Water Plant Project, the Pinghe County Tea Industry Supply Chain Project (Phase II), the Pinghe County Haoduoduo Wood Industry Home New Materials Production Project, the Pinghe County Xinrong Tea Production Base Construction Project, the Pinghe County Dongkeng Reserve Grain Depot Expansion Project, the Pinghe County Anhou Machinery Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction Project, and the Pinghe County Western Area Rural Revitalization Project, with a total investment of 4.879 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 684 million yuan; 3 are completed projects, namely the Pinghe County Fuyi Food Industrial Park (Phase I), the Pinghe County Jiulong River Xixi Nanshengxi Watershed (Lizaikeng) Pipeline Project and Desilting Treatment, and the Pinghe County Jiufeng Town Sewage Treatment Plant and Supporting Pipe Network Project, with a total investment of 471 million yuan.

The concentrated start and completion of these projects will further advance the construction of people's livelihood undertakings in Pinghe, strengthen Pinghe's industrial matrix, and inject more vitality into comprehensively promoting high-quality development and accelerating the modernization of the new Pinghe in the new era.
