On October 9, the swivel bridge over the Wari Railway on the Linzi-Linyi Expressway, invested in and constructed by Shandong Hi-Speed Group, completed a magnificent turn in mid-air and was precisely closed, successfully achieving its rotation, marking another solid step toward the goal of the project's northern section being completed and opened to traffic within the year.

The swivel bridge over the Wari Railway is a key controlling project of the Linlin project. The bridge deck is 38.2 meters wide and weighs 39,000 tonnes, and it needs to rotate 53 degrees clockwise. It is currently the heaviest full-width swivel bridge in China without a cast-in-place closure segment. The bridge girder adopts variable-height prestressed concrete box girders, and the construction uses the cast-in-place on falsework method. The cast-in-place falsework for the girder is only 16 meters from the railway catenary, so the requirements for main girder alignment control and technical precision are high, safety risks are significant, and construction organization is complex.

At 8:30, with a command from the on-site chief commander, two continuous jacks slowly pulled the spherical hinge supporting the bottom of the bridge. This 39,000-tonne "behemoth" began to rotate slowly clockwise at a steady rate, and within the predetermined 60-minute railway "window period," it went from being almost parallel to the railway line to gradually crossing over it, accurately reaching the design position. To fully ensure railway operation and construction safety, the project adopted the integral inner formwork fabrication and hoisting process for the girder's divided box cells to reduce hoisting distance, and used "prestressed grout-free low-retraction anchor cable" technology to improve construction efficiency. During the swivel process, technical personnel used the BeiDou navigation positioning system and multiple sensors to monitor the bridge rotation angle in real time, and through "full-process visualization and intelligent control" conducted advance analysis and warning to ensure that construction safety within the blockade period was controllable.

The Linzi-Linyi Expressway is an important component of the "Vertical Line 4" in Shandong Province's "nine vertical, five horizontal, one ring, seven radial, and multiple connecting" expressway network. It starts in the north at the Zhanlin Expressway and ends in the south at the Rilan Expressway, with a total length of 192.64 kilometers, a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour, and dual-direction six lanes.
