On the morning of October 8, the super-large-diameter intercity railway tunnel shield machine "Jingtong Hao," jointly built by CRCHI (China Railway Construction Heavy Industry) and China Railway 14th Bureau Group, rolled off the production line at CRCHI. The "Jingtong Hao" has an overall length of about 138 meters and a maximum excavation diameter of 13.3 meters, and will become the largest-diameter shield machine ever used in construction in Beijing.

The "Jingtong Hao" will be applied to the construction of the Beijing-Tangshan Yunchaojian River Tunnel project, which is the first high-speed railway large-diameter shield tunnel connecting the Beijing-Tangshan Intercity Railway with the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center hub. The project is characterized by a large excavation cross-section, numerous geological risks, and high requirements for ground settlement control. In response to the key difficulties of the project, the CRCHI R&D team equipped the machine with a large-flow slurry circulation control system, a large-load multi-crane coordinated lifting system, an intelligent fine-adjustment device for box culvert segments, and a segment ring forming quality monitoring system, among other intelligent devices and advanced integrated technologies, providing strong support for the smooth construction of the Beijing-Tangshan Yunchaojian River Tunnel project.

The Beijing-Tangshan Intercity Railway is a high-speed railway running through Beijing and Tangshan, and is a steel artery of great significance. Once the Beijing-Tangshan Intercity Railway is completed and opened to traffic, it will, on the one hand, greatly facilitate travel for people along the line and promote economic and social development along the route; on the other hand, it is of great significance for relieving Beijing of non-capital functions, improving the railway network structure of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and serving the implementation of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy.
