Compared with previous years, the 2023 Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day are infused with even greater warmth, festivity, and harmony thanks to the grand hosting of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou.

The successful hosting of the Asian Games would not have been possible without strong infrastructure support. Adhering to the principle of "Hangzhou as the main host, with the whole province sharing the benefits," the venues of this Asian Games are distributed across Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Huzhou, Shaoxing, and Jinhua.

Since 2019, Qiancheng Pile Engineering, giving full play to its professional advantages in its specialized field, has successively participated in the construction of numerous Asian Games supporting projects in Hangzhou, Shaoxing, and other locations, including urban rail transit, municipal roads, expressways, and underground-space municipal works, contributing Qiancheng's wisdom and strength to the successful hosting of this sports gala that has captured the nation's attention and the world's gaze!

Hangzhou Metro Lines 7 and 8   

Hangzhou Metro Lines 7 and 8 are important trunk lines in the third-phase construction plan of Hangzhou's rail transit system. They are significant transportation measures for building a beautiful Hangzhou and promoting the integrated development of the Hangzhou metropolitan area, and they are also vital infrastructure guarantees for the smooth hosting of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games. Qiancheng Pile Engineering successively participated in the construction of multiple stations along the two lines, including Yipeng Station, No. 2 Ventilation Shaft (now known as Yinan Road Station), and Qingliu Road Station.

Among them, Qingliu Road Station is the interchange station between Hangzhou Metro Line 7 and Line 8, where Qiancheng Pile Engineering undertook the construction of over 100,000 cubic meters of underground diaphragm walls. Throughout the entire construction management process of the project, Qiancheng Pile Engineering's management team earned high praise from the owner, the general contractor, and the supervision unit for its professional standards and outstanding competence. The team was successively awarded titles such as "2018 Outstanding Partner Unit" and "2018 Advanced Collective in Safety Production" by the general contractor China Railway 19th Bureau, while Project Manager Wang Yanhai and three others received honorary titles including "Advanced Production Worker," "Quality Management Model," and "Safety Management Model."

Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport Phase III Expansion and Renovation Project  

The Xiaoshan Airport Phase III Expansion Project is one of the ten landmark projects of Zhejiang Province's Major Corridor Construction Action Plan and is also a transportation infrastructure project supporting the 2022 Asian Games. Upon completion and operation, the Hangzhou airport's terminal building area, design capacity, and number of aircraft stands will make it the second-largest aviation hub in the Yangtze River Delta after Pudong Airport.

Qiancheng Pile Engineering successively undertook the construction of the triaxial mixing piles, underground diaphragm walls, and column piles in Zone A1; the triaxial mixing piles and underground diaphragm walls in Zone A2; the triaxial mixing piles and high-pressure jet grouting piles for pit reinforcement throughout the high-speed railway station area; and the triaxial mixing piles and bored cast-in-place piles for the south corridor enclosure, with total construction output value exceeding 100 million yuan.

Qinwang Passage Project in Fuyang District, Hangzhou

The Qinwang Passage Project is important infrastructure that supports Fuyang's major urban development strategy and improves Fuyang's cross-river transportation system. It is one of the largest combined road-rail tunnels in China and the largest river-crossing shield tunnel in Zhejiang, hailed as the "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains" of Hangzhou Fuyang's development. Upon completion, the project will serve rapid communication between Fuyang's Jiangnan New Area and Jiangbei Central Urban Area, and will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of the Fuyang District competition events of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.

Qiancheng Pile Engineering undertook the Phase I project—the Jiangnan working shaft at the shield launching section, which is the deepest and largest working shaft with uniform-thickness diaphragm walls in East China, shouldering the major responsibility of facilitating the safe launch of the river-crossing shield. The Phase II project, the Zhongsha Island Station deep-space utilization project, is an important component of the Qinwang Passage Project. The total output value of the two phases exceeds 100 million yuan. The project's construction progress, safety, and quality were highly praised by the general contractor and received a letter of commendation from Zhejiang Communications Construction Group.

Hangzhou Fuyang Fuchunwan Avenue Phase I EPC Project

The Fuchunwan Avenue Project is an important component of Fuyang District's "one ring, six radials" expressway network framework and is the main gateway corridor for Hangzhou Fuchun New City's external connections. The Phase I project starts at the intersection of Fuchunwan Avenue and Xueyuan Road and ends at the intersection of Fuchunwan Avenue and Jingwei Road, with a total length of approximately 3 kilometers. The enclosure structure adopts 800mm underground diaphragm walls plus internal bracing, with diaphragm wall depths of 25 to 35 meters. Qiancheng Pile Engineering's construction area covers a total length of 1.648 kilometers, with 569 designed diaphragm wall panels totaling approximately 80,000 cubic meters.

The project officially commenced on December 15, 2019, and over the course of 200 days, the specified construction tasks were successfully completed in accordance with design and specification requirements, making it another high-quality representative project built by Qiancheng Pile Engineering in Hangzhou.

Hangzhou Xiasha Road and No. 12 Road Upgrading and Renovation and Ancillary Facilities PPP Project

The PPP project for the upgrading and renovation of Xiasha Road and No. 12 Road and ancillary facilities in the Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone is an important component of the "Tianmu—Huanbei—Genshan" expressway in Hangzhou's "four vertical, five horizontal" expressway network system. It is also a major construction project in Hangzhou's four-year action plan for building an expressway network to welcome the Asian Games and ensure smooth traffic.

The project officially commenced on December 5, 2019. All management personnel worked with unity and pooled their wisdom and efforts to fully ensure the orderly and smooth progress of project construction, successfully completing the project and delivering an excellent result to the client and the company, receiving commendations and a letter of praise from the general contractor.

Hangzhou West Railway Station Hub Project

The Hangzhou West Railway Station Hub is a core project of the new round of the "Hangzhou Railway Hub Plan" (2016-2030), a node project of the "Yangtze River Delta on Rails," an important transportation support project for the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, and a benchmark work of a new-generation high-speed railway hub built to high quality under the "station-city integration" label.

Qiancheng Pile Engineering mainly undertook the construction of the project's underground diaphragm wall works, commencing on December 15, 2019, and successfully completing on schedule in May 2020 despite the obstacles posed by the pandemic.

Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Ningbo Expressway Project

The Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Ningbo Expressway is China's first "smart expressway" and "super expressway," built by Zhejiang Province to welcome the Hangzhou Asian Games. It is a leading project for advancing smart transportation under the national Yangtze River Delta integration strategy and one of the ten landmark projects of Zhejiang Province's major corridor construction. It is of great significance for improving the expressway network, accelerating the construction of major corridors in the Greater Bay Area, promoting economic and social development along the route, and serving the national strategies of the "Yangtze River Economic Belt" and "Yangtze River Delta Integration."

This project is one of the six major Asian Games key projects in Qiancheng Pile Engineering's deep cooperation with Zhejiang Communications Construction Group. During the construction process, our project team stood out among multiple participating teams, repeatedly winning first place in phased comprehensive evaluations, and received a letter of praise from the general contractor upon completion.

Shaoxing Metro Line 2

Shaoxing Rail Transit Line 2 is an important Asian Games-themed line for Shaoxing, a brand-new path of integration between Shaoxing and Hangzhou and a showcase of the Asian Games spirit. It opens a new stage of "networked operation and two-line transfer" for Shaoxing Metro and is an important trunk line for Shaoxing's construction of a networked metropolis, of great significance for improving the comprehensive urban transportation network system and promoting Shaoxing's economic and social development.

Qiancheng Pile Engineering participated in the construction of the underground diaphragm walls at Yuewang Station, Paojiang Lianghu Station, and Paozhong Road Station along the line. In the "learn from and surpass one another" campaign launched by the client with the main themes of "strengthening contract performance, improving quality and efficiency, honing capabilities, and ensuring safety," the company was far ahead and was named "2020 Outstanding Subcontractor."

The Hangzhou Asian Games is the largest and highest-level international comprehensive sporting event held by China since the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, attracting worldwide attention. The successful hosting of the Asian Games is a review of the achievements in building a sporting powerhouse and a healthy China, and even more a powerful demonstration of the nation's comprehensive strength and national spirit.

The great test of the Asian Games is an answer sheet written by the people of Hangzhou and completed jointly by the people of the entire nation. In the process of completing this answer sheet, beyond the organization of the events themselves, factors such as the level of urban management and the level of urban infrastructure construction are also important elements affecting the score.
