On the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival, two Zhongrui ZJD7000/1200 reverse circulation drilling rigs successfully met at the Xihoumen Road-Railway Bridge of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Railway in Zhoushan, Zhejiang, celebrating a reunion for the Mid-Autumn Festival!

Rig No. 2, the 7-meter drilling rig, will follow Rig No. 1, the 7-meter drilling rig, to embark on its journey of building the world's largest-diameter bridge engineering piles, pressing the accelerator key for the bored pile construction of the bridge's main piers!

Since the Xihoumen Road-Railway Bridge of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Railway was awarded for construction on October 28 last year, it has progressed smoothly under the leadership of the professional teams of China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group. The 6.3-meter-diameter engineering piles constructed with the ZJD7000/1200 reverse circulation drilling rig are currently the world's largest bridge engineering piles. The bridge has a main span of 1,488 meters and is the first sea-crossing bridge in China to feature an open caisson foundation; it is the world's first embedded deep-water open caisson foundation. With both 7-meter drilling rigs deployed at the construction site, they safeguard the completion of the civil engineering targets for the entire bridge.

The Xihoumen Road-Railway Bridge of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Railway is a key controlling project of the entire Ningbo-Zhoushan Railway line.
