Recently, the Phase I project of the Taining County Urban-Rural Water Supply Integration Construction Project officially commenced.

The Phase I project of the Taining County Urban-Rural Water Supply Integration Construction Project has a total investment of 195.1501 million yuan, mainly covering 3 townships (towns) including Shancheng Town, Zhukou Town and Xinqiao Township, 6 neighborhood committees and 27 administrative villages, and can serve a population of 109,200. The main construction content includes expanding one 20,000 t/d water plant in Dayangping, Taining County; renovating two water plants, namely the Zhukou Town Water Plant and the Xinqiao Town Water Plant, with a combined water supply capacity of 7,000 t/d; building 151 km of new water distribution pipelines and 2 new booster pump stations; installing 17,750 new household water meters (including household pipeline networks); and carrying out 1 digital water utility construction project.

After the project is completed, it will solve the problem of unbalanced and inadequate urban-rural water supply in Taining County, comprehensively raise the level of rural drinking water safety assurance, and realize an operating model of unified policy, unified water quality, unified service and unified supervision for urban and rural water supply, upgrading from "having water to drink" to "drinking good water," so that the people of Taining can drink safe and happy water.
