On September 20, the grand stage of the global construction machinery industry—the 16th China (Beijing) International Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines and Mining Machines Exhibition & Seminar (BICES 2023)—opened in Beijing, with more than 1,300 exhibitors gathered under one roof in an unprecedented grand occasion. Xiang Wenbo, Rotating Chairman of Sany Group and Chairman of Sany Heavy Industry, attended the opening ceremony.

Sany: Digital & Intelligent, Low-Carbon Future! Sany Group took the C-position with a super-large outdoor booth of 2,700 square meters, bringing 22 flagship machines including concrete machinery, excavating machinery, lifting machinery, piling machinery, intelligent forklifts and smart AGVs, as well as globally leading unmanned driving technology, showcasing its latest achievements in globalization, digital intelligence and low-carbon development.

More than half are electrified products

At this grand event, 13 of the 22 machines in the Sany exhibition area are electrified products, accounting for over 50% and becoming the absolute protagonists, demonstrating Sany's cutting-edge technologies under its low-carbon strategy and leading the industry's green and low-carbon development trend.

The Sany micro-hybrid 620 MHEV pump truck and the plug-in electric 620 DEV pump truck formed a giant heart shape high in the air, extending a warm invitation to the entire audience and drawing crowds in droves. They are not only benchmark electrified products in the concrete pump truck industry but also must-visit landmarks at BICES 2023.

The popular Sany 412 electric mixer truck also attracted much attention, combining advantages such as low energy consumption, light curb weight and higher loading capacity, and debuting the new-generation 328 intelligent interactive cockpit version for easier driving and safer operation.

The SW956E electric loader and the SY19E and SY215E electric excavators arrived powered by electricity, delivering high efficiency, energy savings, time savings and peace of mind in one step, setting off a green trend in the industry and ranking as star products favored by customers.

Providing intelligent solutions

In addition to the ubiquitous electric low-carbon offerings, intelligent solutions are another major highlight and draw of the Sany exhibition area.

The Sany SCPC6 series intelligent counterbalance forklifts covering mainstream application scenarios of 2.5 tons, 3 tons and 4 tons, the lighthouse factory intelligent unmanned transport system composed of the Sany smart AGV fleet, and the SCB20 lithium-battery pallet trucks lined up neatly, bringing advanced green and intelligent logistics solutions to the industry.

Focusing on unmanned operation scenarios such as ports, industrial parks and (non-coal) mines, Haixing Zhijia brought the POSEIDON series of intelligent driving AI computing platforms and the TRIDENT intelligent driving cloud control platform.

Among them, the AI computing platform POSEIDON provides L2 to L4 assisted driving and advanced autonomous driving functions for enclosed scenarios such as ports, (non-coal) mines and industrial parks; the cloud control platform TRIDENT provides device-cloud collaborative intelligent connected services for multi-scenario autonomous driving systems.

Spectacular highlights, the outdoor crowd favorite

In addition, the SY750HBS dedicated crushing machine, the "all-round nemesis of hard rock in mines," the SR435S and SR505S rotary drilling rigs, heavy equipment for rock penetration, the SD520S horizontal directional drill, a trenchless powerhouse, and the industry's first 240-ton-class truck crane STC2400C8-8 all appeared together, their red booms pointing straight into the sky with commanding presence, attracting a large number of domestic and international customers.

In the equipment performance and interaction area, two international-model BHL75 backhoe loaders delivered a spectacular mechanical show that won rounds of applause while international customers kept coming with inquiries.

Interactive games such as "excavator basketball shooting" were surrounded by crowds, bringing everyone up close to the strength and charm of Sany equipment.

On site, the Sany Foundation presented new achievements in the implementation of Sany's "science philanthropy," showing the warm side of hardcore machinery; Sany Culture Industry Company brought a rich variety of branded merchandise that drew visitors to stop and browse.

Trends such as electrification, low-carbon development and intelligentization have become an industry consensus. At present, Sany is fully implementing its three-pronged strategy of "globalization, digital intelligence and low-carbon development," unswervingly advancing technological and product innovation, and boosting the industry's transformation and upgrading.
