Since the beginning of this year, Qingshui County has firmly focused on the goals and tasks of project construction, strengthened service guarantees, raced against time to accelerate the advancement of key projects, and set off a boom in project construction.

At the booster station construction site of the State Power Investment Corporation Qingshui 50 MW Wind-Storage Integrated Power Station project, staff are stepping up the installation of equipment in the relay protection room. Since the project started in March this year, construction personnel have rushed progress while ensuring quality; currently the 110 kV booster station has completed all civil works.

"What is currently underway is the installation of electrical equipment and the laying and connection of cables, as well as the foundation pouring and grounding of the collector lines," said Shi Yanjun, head of wind power engineering at Sinohydro Bureau 4 Co., Ltd.

The State Power Investment Corporation Qingshui 50 MW Wind-Storage Integrated Power Station project is located in Baituo Town, Wanghe Town and Yuanmen Town of Qingshui County, with a total investment of 300 million yuan. Its construction content includes 10 50 MW wind turbine generator sets, and it is planned to be connected to the grid for power generation by the end of 2023. At present, the wind farm has completed the foundation pouring of 10 wind turbines.

"It is expected that the hoisting task of the first wind turbine will be successfully completed within a week, and after grid connection the power generation capacity can reach 5,000 kWh per hour," said Deng Lifeng, hoisting head of the State Power Investment Corporation Qingshui 50 MW Wind-Storage Integrated Power Station project.

After the project is completed and put into operation, it can provide 104 million kWh of electricity to the grid each year, save 31,400 tons of standard coal for the country each year, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 86,000 tons, and reduce soot emissions by 2.29 tons.

"The wind power project converts wind energy into mechanical energy, then into electrical energy, which is then transmitted through collector lines to this booster station and stepped up to 110,000 volts, enabling the State Grid in the Longdong region to achieve carbon neutrality," Shi Yanjun said.

When projects thrive, industries thrive. At the construction site of the composite ceramic refractory integrated comprehensive recycling utilization project in Huangmen Town, Qingshui County, pile cap and steel structure construction are proceeding in an orderly manner. At present, work in No. 1 and No. 2 smelting workshops and No. 2 deep processing workshop is being accelerated.

"Qingshui County has given us very strong support. The installation of graphite motors and other equipment will arrive successively, and we are striving to put these two lines into production by the end of the year," said Xu Rui, general manager of Huamao (Gansu) New Material Technology Co., Ltd.

The project will build 4 composite ceramic refractory production lines, 2 high-performance composite ceramic product production lines, 2 high-grade refractory production lines such as silicon nitride-bonded silicon carbide, and 2 high-performance graphitized product production lines. The annual output will be 180,000 tons of silicon nitride-bonded silicon carbide products, 60,000 tons of silicon carbide ceramic products, and 60,000 tons of graphitized products. After the project is completed and reaches full production, it will become the largest composite ceramic refractory integrated comprehensive recycling utilization industrial park in China.

"These products are mainly used in industries such as aerospace, national defense and military industry, automobiles, and steel. The annual output value is about 7.2 billion yuan, driving employment for 1,200 local people. The completion of the project will greatly promote nearby industries such as cultural tourism, accommodation, catering, and building materials transportation," said Lei Dongbin, a staff member of the special task force for the Qingshui composite ceramic refractory integrated comprehensive recycling utilization project.

According to statistics, up to now Qingshui County has a total of 172 key projects under construction, with an annual planned investment of 7.69 billion yuan. From January to August, fixed asset investment is expected to reach 3.47 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16%. The strong advancement of project after project has added strong momentum to boosting the high-quality development of Qingshui County.
