Autumn is the golden season for engineering construction. The reporter learned that with construction progress steadily advancing, a number of transportation infrastructure projects in multiple locations have achieved new progress.
In Heilongjiang, at the construction site of the No. 2 Grand Bridge of the Harbin-Yichun High-Speed Railway, as the last 32-meter box girder weighing 715 tons was hoisted into the designated position, the girder erection work of the advance section of the Tieli-Yichun section of the Harbin-Yichun High-Speed Railway was fully completed.
According to Yang Xushu, project manager of China Railway 22nd Bureau, the Harbin-Yichun High-Speed Railway consists of the Harbin-Tieli section and the Tieli-Yichun section. It is the northernmost high-speed railway under construction in China and also the country's first high-speed railway traversing permafrost regions. During construction of the advance section of the Tieli-Yichun section, the project team prepared special construction plans and overcame multiple technical challenges such as soft soil subgrade and frozen soil subgrade, accumulating valuable experience for high-speed railway construction in permafrost regions of China.
In Xinjiang, after a 90-minute clockwise rotation, the Yanbei Viaduct on the East Second Ring Road of Urumqi, the largest swivel bridge in the Xinjiang region built by CCCC Second Highway Engineering Co., Ltd., successfully completed its rotation. With this, the entire East Second Ring Road of Urumqi has been fully connected.
According to Zhang Bo, project manager of CCCC Second Highway Engineering Co., Ltd., the Yanbei Viaduct crosses over the Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway, with the rotating section weighing 16,500 tons. During the swivel construction, the project team used intelligent traction equipment to monitor the rotation in real time and adjust the rotation speed, ultimately achieving a 77-degree mid-air "turn" of the swivel bridge.
In Inner Mongolia, the continuous girder of the Jingpeng Grand Bridge of the Jining-Tongliao Railway electrification renovation project built by China Railway Electrification Engineering Group was successfully closed. This is also the first grand bridge on the entire line to achieve continuous girder closure, marking important progress in the project's construction.
The Jining-Tongliao Railway starts from Ulanqab City in Inner Mongolia in the west and extends to Tongliao City in the east. It is an important energy corridor for the "eastward transport of Inner Mongolia coal." According to Wang Xiaowei, deputy chief engineer of the project under China Railway Electrification Engineering Group, the Jingpeng Grand Bridge is about 2,374 meters long and crosses National Highway 303, making it one of the key and difficult projects along the entire Jining-Tongliao Railway.
In Jiangsu, the pre-station Section 3 of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou Railway, in which China Railway 19th Bureau participated in construction, successfully completed the erection of 979 box girders within the section, marking the full completion of box girder erection for the Jiangsu and Zhejiang sections of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou Railway and laying a solid foundation for the next stage of ballastless track construction.
According to Zou Deyu, project manager of China Railway 19th Bureau, the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou Railway starts from Shanghai Hongqiao Station, passes through Suzhou City in Jiangsu Province, and ends at Huzhou Station in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, with a main line length of about 163.8 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. Once the project is completed and operational, it will further improve the road network layout of the Yangtze River Delta region and effectively relieve the transportation pressure on the Shanghai-Nanjing and Shanghai-Hangzhou railway corridors.
In Zhejiang, the Bijia Tunnel of the Jinhua-Jiande High-Speed Railway built by China Railway 24th Bureau was successfully holed through, marking important progress in another milestone project of the Jinhua-Jiande High-Speed Railway.
The Jinhua-Jiande High-Speed Railway is about 64 kilometers long and is an important component of the "Huangshan-Jinhua" railway corridor in the national rapid railway network. According to Zhang Weijian, project manager of China Railway 24th Bureau, the Bijia Tunnel connects the two county-level cities of Lanxi and Jiande and is about 560 meters long. During construction, faced with the challenge of many sections with changing surrounding rock conditions, the builders adopted advanced geological forecasting and early warning and increased the frequency of surrounding rock monitoring and measurement to ensure smooth and efficient tunnel excavation.
In Hubei, the Xiangbei Marshalling Station Bridge built by China Railway 11th Bureau was successfully opened to traffic, marking the official opening of the first phase of the Xiangyang ring road speed-up renovation project.
According to Guo Jinyong, chief engineer of the project under China Railway 11th Bureau, the Xiangbei Marshalling Station Bridge is a hybrid girder cable-stayed bridge with two separate towers and two cable planes. The main bridge is 920 meters long, of which the section crossing the railway yard has a total length of 520 meters and crosses 32 railway tracks, making it the hybrid girder cable-stayed bridge crossing the most railway lines in China.
In Chongqing, the section from No. 1 cross adit to the tunnel entrance of the Nanzhushan Tunnel on the Chongqing-Qianjiang section of the Chongqing-Hunan High-Speed Railway built by China Railway 18th Bureau was safely holed through. The Nanzhushan Tunnel is 10,794 meters long and is one of the key and difficult controlling projects along the entire line.
According to Fu Luojing, project manager of China Railway 18th Bureau, the section holed through this time is 1,480 meters long and is a fully gas-bearing tunnel. During construction, the project team strictly carried out gas work area management and implemented 24-hour automatic gas monitoring to safeguard tunnel construction.
In Yunnan, the Nanmei-Mengding section of the Lincang-Qingdao Expressway, in which China Railway 15th Bureau participated in construction, was completed and opened to traffic, laying a solid foundation for the early completion and opening of the entire Lincang-Qingdao Expressway. The Lincang-Qingdao Expressway is an important section of the planned Kunming-Lincang-Gengma-Qingshuihe Expressway, with a total length of about 156 kilometers, and is one of Yunnan's major international outbound corridors.
According to Wen Liangliang, project manager of China Railway 15th Bureau, during construction the builders strictly controlled safety and quality. In particular, during construction of the extra-long Majiazhai Tunnel along the entire line, in response to geological hazards such as mud bursts, water inflow, and crown settlement, they promptly identified groundwater and adverse geological conditions within the tunnel, effectively reducing safety risks and improving construction efficiency.
In Guangdong, with the completion of concrete pouring for the last roof slab, the main structure of the Pingdi Depot of Phase IV of Shenzhen Metro Line 3, in which China Railway 16th Bureau participated in construction, was officially topped out. Once completed, the Pingdi Depot will provide services such as train parking, inspection, and preparation for Shenzhen Metro Line 3.
According to Han Shouchu, project manager of China Railway 16th Bureau, the Pingdi Depot is located in an area with strongly developed karst, and the project is large in scale, designed to accommodate 20 metro trains at the same time. During construction, the project team strengthened the empowerment of engineering construction through science and technology, adopting 22 intelligent systems including a "BIM technology + smart construction site" management system and an electrical safety monitoring system to help improve quality and speed up project construction.
