Recently, the Xingmiao Village Tunnel on the Chongqing-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway successfully surpassed the 1,000-meter mark, becoming the first tunnel on the entire Chongqing-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway line to exceed one kilometer in excavation. The Xingmiao Village Tunnel is a single-tube, double-track tunnel with a total length of 4,414 meters. The maximum daily water inflow of the entire tunnel is 6,590 cubic meters. Construction is difficult and safety risks are high, making it a key and challenging project within this contract section.

To ensure the safe and smooth progress of tunnel construction, the project introduced mechanized and intelligent equipment, including a 36-meter hydraulic self-propelled full-width formwork invert trestle, a 12-meter automated waterproof board laying trolley, a 12-meter intelligent lining trolley, and a self-propelled spray curing gantry, ensuring controllable safety and quality in tunnel construction and achieving a "double harvest" of quality and efficiency.

The newly built Chongqing-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway is an important component of the Bao(yin)-Hai and Beijing-Kunming corridors, which are part of the national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway main corridors. After completion and opening to traffic, the travel time from central Chongqing to Wanzhou District of Chongqing will be shortened to less than one hour.
