After 30 hours of continuous construction, the first segment of the No. 5 cable tower of the Beijiang Grand Bridge on the Qinghua Expressway was recently successfully poured, marking that the bridge's first cable tower has officially entered the stage of "thriving growth," and the bridge's overall "phoenix spreading its wings" shape is just around the corner.

The main bridge of the Beijiang Grand Bridge is 1,440 meters long, connecting Henghe in Qingcheng District with Shantang in Qingxin District, and is a key controlling project of the Qinghua Expressway. According to the construction unit, in addition to the relatively rapid progress of the cable tower at Pier No. 5, the main towers of Pier No. 4 and Pier No. 6 of the Beijiang Grand Bridge, which are currently under cofferdam construction, will also successively "emerge from the water" before the end of this year. The Qinghua Expressway Management Office of Guangdong Communications Investment Group introduced that the Qinghua Expressway is planned to be completed and opened to traffic in 2025; once completed, the project will greatly ease the pressure on the Guangzhou-Qingyuan Expressway and further strengthen the radiating and driving role of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for Qingyuan.

As a key construction project of Guangdong Province during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the Qinghua Expressway project starts in Taihe Town, Qingxin District, Qingyuan City, connecting with the Shantou-Zhanjiang Expressway, and ends in Tanbu Town, Huadu District, Guangzhou City, connecting with the West Second Ring Expressway. It passes through seven towns and one subdistrict in the two cities of Guangzhou and Qingyuan, with a total length of about 54 kilometers.
