On September 6, the second drafting meeting of the industry standard "Construction Machinery and Equipment — Drilling Tools for Rotary Drilling Rigs" was successfully held in Tianjin.

Liu Shuang, Secretary-General of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Construction Machinery and Equipment, announced the official launch of the meeting. At the same time, he emphasized that industry standards are subject to strict procedural requirements and serve as an important tool for guiding the high-end, high-quality development of the industry. The main purpose of this working meeting was to conduct an in-depth investigation into the current advanced level of standard drafting, and by further understanding the industry market conditions, production conditions, and application conditions, to determine whether this standard possesses the leading and advanced nature required for industry standard development during its formulation process. He required that, during the drafting process, the various product indicators in this standard should reflect the high-end development level of the industry, and that these indicators should drive improvements in enterprises' production levels, technical levels, and management levels, so as to truly ensure that users can use the products with confidence and to promote the healthy development of the industry. Through the drafting of the standard, enterprises should be helped to formulate corresponding product manuals, enabling users to use the products correctly and reasonably, and better leveraging the standard's role in regulating, guiding, and enhancing the industry's green, low-carbon, safe, and high-quality development.‍

Wang Yong, General Manager of Saimeisi, delivered a welcome speech and briefly introduced the progress of the standard work. Participating representatives held detailed and in-depth discussions on the provisions of the standard clause by clause, put forward a large number of valuable opinions, and determined the basic framework and content of the standard. The drafting group will promptly form a draft for soliciting opinions based on this discussion.

At the meeting, Guo Chuanxin, Secretary-General of the Piling Machinery Branch of the China Construction Machinery Society, first expressed gratitude to the expert group members attending the meeting for their efforts and strong support during the drafting of the industry standard "Construction Machinery and Equipment — Drilling Tools for Rotary Drilling Rigs." He also introduced to the attending representatives the wide application scenarios and importance of this standard in the field of rotary drilling rig tools, analyzed the development trends of rotary drilling rigs covered by the standard, and offered directional opinions for this standard discussion. Secretary-General Guo pointed out that this standard has a high positioning and involves much pioneering work, making it somewhat challenging. In view of the wide variety of drilling tools for rotary drilling rigs, he hoped that all participating representatives would adhere to a clear logical main line, grasp the essence of key issues when drafting the standard provisions, and offer suggestions for jointly creating a high-quality standard for the industry.
