The Lecheng Bridge, with a total length of 1.757 kilometers, connects the main urban area of Jiaji in Qionghai with the Bo'ao Lecheng Pilot Zone. It is a key construction project in Hainan and a key supporting infrastructure project of the Lecheng Pilot Zone, as well as a critical node for promoting "industry-city integration" in Lecheng, Qionghai.

Hu Bo, Quality Inspection Director of the Lecheng Bridge Project Department, stated that the "face mask" covering the bridge deck is geotextile, mainly used to prevent cold-joint cracking in the bridge structure caused by uneven concrete shrinkage.

To ensure the quality of the bridge construction, the final anchor span beam was poured in layers. The pouring lasted nearly 20 hours and used a cumulative total of approximately 1,300 cubic meters of concrete. After the Lecheng Bridge achieves full connectivity, the project department will simultaneously carry out the construction of the main tower and the bridge deck ancillary works.

The Lecheng Bridge is located within a national water resource protection zone. To build the Lecheng Bridge into a truly "environmentally friendly bridge," the project department integrated "green manufacturing and green construction" throughout the project. It not only set up a mud treatment system to centrally collect and treat waste mud generated during construction, but also built an enclosed steel reinforcement processing yard, carried out soundproof enclosure treatment for mixers, and installed automatic sprinkler dust suppression systems and fog cannon dust suppression systems to minimize air pollution and particulate emissions.

It is worth noting that this 90.6-meter-tall "big guy" is also a work of art combining strength and beauty. As Hainan's first single-tower spatial cable-plane self-anchored suspension bridge, the main tower of the Lecheng Bridge adopts a four-column star-diamond shape and, once completed, will resemble a blooming bougainvillea.

According to reports, the construction of the main tower is one of the "toughest nuts to crack" in the Lecheng Bridge project. To this end, the construction team of CCCC Second Harbor Engineering conducted a series of technical research and quality control measures, while implementing 24-hour construction operations to improve efficiency while ensuring construction quality.

At present, the overall construction progress of the project has reached 80%, and it is expected to achieve functional opening to traffic in early next year. Once completed, it will become a "pearl" on the Wanquan River.
