Recently, a Taiheng Foundation KR240E rotary drilling rig was deployed at a housing construction project in Quanzhou, Fujian Province. The site's geological conditions consist mainly of silty sand and silty clay layers with a high groundwater level. The pile holes are 1000 mm in diameter and 35 m deep per hole. The Taiheng Foundation construction team adjusted the mud mix ratio in a timely manner according to the sand content of the silty sand for mud wall protection, and worked with the operator's reasonable control of drill pipe lifting speed to solve the hole collapse problem in the quicksand stratum. Ultimately, the drilling time per hole was shortened to 1 hour and 45 minutes, and the construction task was completed smoothly and efficiently within 20 days, reducing construction costs for the client and earning unanimous praise from the customer.
