Following the successful convening of the BICES 2023 professional user symposia in Shandong, Shanxi, Hebei and other provinces, which aroused enthusiastic responses among user units in each province, on July 12 the China Construction Machinery Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) organized in Zhengzhou, Henan the 16th China (Beijing) International Construction Machinery, Building Material Machinery and Mining Machinery Exhibition and Technical Exchange Conference (hereinafter referred to as BICES 2023) Professional User Symposium for the Henan Transportation and Municipal Systems (hereinafter referred to as the User Symposium), at which the latest preparations for BICES 2023 and the latest situation of the construction machinery industry were introduced to major user units in Henan Province, and invitations to visit BICES 2023 were extended to the attending representatives. More than 40 people attended the meeting, including Lu Ying, Deputy Secretary-General of the Association and General Manager of Beijing Tianshi Huagong International Exhibition Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Exhibition Company); Zhang Xinong, Secretary-General of the Road Construction and Maintenance Machinery Branch; Ma Nan, Secretary-General of the Henan Asphalt Concrete Industry Association, the organizer of the User Symposium; and representatives of user units in the Henan transportation and municipal systems such as Henan Communications Investment Transportation Construction Group and Henan Road & Bridge Group.

Lu Ying gives an introduction on 'Development Status and Trends of the Construction Machinery Industry' and 'Organization and Preparations of BICES 2023'

Lu Ying first expressed gratitude to the attending user units for their long-standing support of the Association's industry work and the BICES exhibition. In the introduction on the development status and trends of the construction machinery industry, Lu Ying detailed the development of China's construction machinery industry from aspects including the scope of the industry, the general development situation of construction machinery, the economic operation situation and characteristics of the industry, and key technological breakthroughs and development directions. In the introduction on the preparations for BICES 2023, Lu Ying stated that, based on the high recognition by exhibitors and user visitors of the five major advantages of BICES that have been continuously consolidated and enhanced, the number of exhibitors and the exhibition area of BICES 2023 have surpassed those of the previous edition; nearly all of the world's top 50 construction machinery enterprises are participating, all organized directly by their corporate headquarters; hundreds of high-quality conferences and activities during the same period have been confirmed; and the organization of users and professional visitors has been fully launched. In particular, through recent visits and symposium exchanges, many user units have indicated that they will organize personnel in charge of asset management, equipment management and related fields to visit Beijing for tours, learning, exchanges and procurement. Meanwhile, as today also marks 70 days before the opening of BICES 2023, the brand-new BICES 2023 visitor pre-registration system goes online today. The brand-new system has been designed with a more reasonable layout, faster response speed, more convenient registration methods and related on-site supporting upgrade measures to support and ensure fast, barrier-free entry for visitors, and will surely bring visitors a more comfortable visiting experience.

Ma Nan spoke on behalf of the organizer of the User Symposium, stating that the Henan Asphalt Concrete Industry Association is grateful for the Association's trust and support in being the organizer of this meeting, and grateful to the Association for bringing the latest industry and exhibition information to user units in Henan Province; the Henan Asphalt Concrete Industry Association will, when the time comes, organize relevant equipment management personnel from Henan user units to visit, learn from and exchange at BICES 2023 in Beijing.

During the discussion and exchange session, representatives of the attending user units spoke one after another, saying that through this meeting they had learned about BICES 2023 in Beijing and the latest situation of the construction machinery industry, thanked the Association and the Henan Asphalt Concrete Industry Association for the opportunity, and stated that they would systematically organize equipment management and procurement personnel to visit the exhibition in Beijing. The attending representatives also exchanged views on the problems existing in the current use of equipment in the transportation and municipal systems, and expressed the hope of obtaining more information on new technologies, new products and new solutions from exhibitors before BICES 2023, so as to communicate more efficiently with more manufacturing enterprises on site at the exhibition, and also hoped to establish a long-term communication mechanism with manufacturing enterprises on equipment use and design through the Association and the BICES exhibition platform.
